Summary: Effy compares

Cook takes long drags from cigarettes, and greedy gulps from vodka and whiskey bottles.
He has cuts and bruises on his face, he never explains, only grins cheekily.
He’s demanding, pressing, knowing. He knows she likes it rough and cliché grabs in the dark.
He pressed his mouth to her neck and leaves a mark.
He’s good.

Freddie gives her spliff, cups of tea, and holds her hand.
He has the caution of a formerly child. He knows she hates his tenderness but traces her cheekbones with a fingertip, gazing into her eyes.
He sometimes rips her stockings; he can suddenly break.
He’s good, too.

Tony.
