Cambridge Academy Chapter Three
Where are we going? Ian asked.
We are going to go get some proper clothes and then you two are going to go see the Headmaster. She said.
Why? I asked.
Because you have too. She said.
What is your name? Ian asked curious.
It's Madeline. She said.
That's pretty. I said.
Thank you Ivie. She said as she smiled at me.
How do you know my name? I asked shocked.
I know just about all the students here on East side. She said.
East side? I asked confused.
There's a East side and a West side. Madeline said.
Why? Ian asked.
West side are for the student who act up. She said.
What do you mean act up? Ian asked curiously.
Here is a jacket and shirt for you Ian and a skirt and jacket for you Ivie. She said as she ignored his question.
There is no way I'm wearing a skirt. I said.
And why not? She asked.
I don't do skirts! I stated.
Look, it's the code. Girls must were skirts. Madeline said.
Well this girl isn't wearing a skirt. I said.
Headmaster won't be please with that. She said.
I don't care, there is no way I'm putting on a uniform! I said.
Fine; at least put on the jacket. She said very ticked off.
I put the jacket on and then she started walking somewhere else. We were going down halls. They were all painted the same ugly off-white color.
Here is his office, you two may go. Madeline said.
Wait why do we have to see the master of heads? I asked.
It's headmaster and it is because you missed orientation. She said.
Oh, I know his name. I just choose to find a better name for him. I said.
Go in now. He is waiting. Madeline said.
I looked at Ian and he opened the door.
Ladies first. He said.
Okay. I mumbled oddly.
Please have a seat. A man said from behind a dark wood desk.
His office was very big. A small laptop sat on the desk.
I prefer to stand. I said.
You are not in any harm. Please sit down. He said sternly.
Why are we here? Ian asked.
You Ian, are here to learn how to handle your skills better. You will like here, it will be a challenge for you Ian. I know you like challenges so you should fit in here. Headmaster said.
Wonder if I don't want to fit in? Wonder if I would rather go home? Ian asked.
I ignored their conversation and looked around his office. There was a layout of the school. But it was just the building I had seen today. Not the West side as Madeline talked about.
Ivie, sit down! Headmaster said as I jumped.
Why am I here? I asked curious.
You said you wanted away from it all. You got your wish. He said.
I ment friends and my parents would stop fighting. I stated.
It's a bit to late for that my dear. He said.
Why can't you just send me back home? I asked.
Because you are already here, Valspar picked you. Headmaster said.
Who the heck is Valspar? I asked getting madder by the second.
Another question for another day. You two need to be in full uniform. He said.
I'm not wearing skirt! How am I suppose to run and have fun? I asked.
You will have to learn doing it in a skirt. He said.
Of course, the typical boy doesn't understand. I scoffed.
You will wear the skirt whether you like it or not. He said.
Fine. I grumbled.
No, you two please hurry to your class since you missed orientation. Headmaster said sternly.
