Chapter Nine
The next day, Mason and Olivia were recommended to seek some help. Olivia just wanted a clue to her future. Her life couldn't have been any worse. Her parents were dead, Cassidy hated her and Mason was sending her mixed signals about there relationship. When she had called him, he seemed a little edgy. It could just be Olivia's imagination though. Mason needed mental help. On the outside he was solid as a rock but on the inside he was as fragile as porcelain. Mason went to a psychiatrist and Olivia went to a psychic. This would give them the answers they mostly desperately craved.
Her Aunt Lucy was a great psychic and Aunt Lucy also promised to give her a one free session since they were family. Personally, Aunt Lucy didn't like Olivia's parents even though her mom was Aunt Lucy's younger sister. Aunt lucy lived in a comfortable log cabin. It was her way of staying connected and be down to earth instead of a glamor girl like other Hollywood women. Her husband recently died of cancer but you couldn't tell if Aunt Lucy was even sad. She was never the one to express her feelings.
Olivia entered the home which smelled strongly of chocolate chip cookies which were Olivia's favorite dessert. The home was very vintage. Her aunt never spent more then 100 dollars on furniture. She also never bought anything that could break easily. She was a huge klutz.
"Hello dear, take some cookies and sit at that table over there." Aunt Lucy held a plate of cookies as Olivia took one and sat down. "Now let's begin. Card or palm reading?"
"Card," Olivia answered automatically.
Aunt placed 4 cards down to make a circle. "The top shall represent your past, the bottom your future, the left one yours family, and the right one your love life. Choose the one you want to go first."
Olivia chosen the past card. It was a picture of a maiden staring off at a window. Everyone outside we're having fun and getting married while she stayed on the inside. "This is the Lonely Soul card. It shows that all of your life, you had to give up a lot but why? Maybe because you were scared of getting abandoned. But mostly because you were metaphorically trapped inside your home. You was being held captive by your parents. Choose the next one."
Olivia picks up family. It was a picture of man whipping his horses that were carrying a load full of bricks. "Ah, the Greedy Merchant. Your family is symbolized as controlling most of your life. They made sure you would always stay in place and never try to leave. When you finally left, then you realized you couldn't make it on your own anyways so you almost gave up. Now the next card."
The next card she picked was love life. This was more reassuring. There was a man and a woman holding hands. But there was some pieces missing. The background was blank and the faces were blank also. "This is the Mystery of love. It tells me that although you love this person, you just can't see yourself with them. You haven't exactly found the right piece maybe you are looking in all the wrong places. Now the last card."
The last was her future card. It was completely black. "This is the Blank Canvas. For this to change you must write your own destiny. You have been living a lie. You don't know what you want to do with your life. You are just a blank canvas."
Mason laid on the couch in his therapist's office. Her name was Dr. Blots. She had light brown hair and caring brown eyes. She spent the first half of the time writing notes on her legal pad. "What seems to be the problem?" she finally asked.
"I have bad taste in women. I don't know who I love anymore," he shook his head. "I thought I loved this one girl but then I ended up falling for someone else."
"Have you always had a girlfriend?" She questioned.
"No, just recently but I never truly liked her though.
"Why not?"
"Because she just wasn't my type."
"What is your type?"
Mason thought for a moment before answering. "I like girls that have soft strawberry-blonde hair and kind eyes. Oh and a sweet smile."
"Which girl was more like that?"
"She was, the one I first saw but I was afraid," he answered
"Why we're you afraid?"
"Because I don't know! Maybe because I thought she didn't like me but I know now that she does."
"Then go to her," the therapist replied.
That night, Olivia boarded to the plane. She was going to head to her original birth place and try to find herself there. The Olivia that lived in Brunswick was somebody she didn't want to be. After talking with her aunt, she realized that she was never happy here. He parent controlled where she went or talked do. She thought that if she got away from the memories here then maybe she could recreate new ones. She knew the sacrifices she should have to make like leaving Mason behind and everything she had worked for even her dreams.
Also that night just when Olivia boarded the plane, the truth came out. Milo had been so scared about the killing that he turned himself in including Cassidy. They were held in court, had their trial, and was jailed for life.

Again I own absolutely nothing, and I do hope you smile laugh and get inspired because those are just wonderful feelings and it's the purpose of all of this.
