Renesmee Cullen's Story, Chapter 3

When I awoke, I realized that it was sweltering hot. I looked up.Jacob was in human form, on my bed, holding me like I was a teddy bear for a toddler as he slept. I felt a little peeved. He usually gets in trouble for this if he's caught by either parent. At first, Jacob wasn't allowed in my room for days if he was caught. He found a way around this by sleeping in dog form outside my bedroom door, which my bed is conveniently right next to. When my mom found him like this after about a few weeks, she said his visits will be limited and he'll sleep outside instead.
I tapped his shoulder, trying to wake him up. I didn't want him gone for a week again. When that didn't work, I shook his arm. Thatonly made him hold me tighter. I finally threw out the "nice" book and resorted to my old-but effective- method; biting. "AAAHH!" Jacob screamed. He let go of me, at the same time falling off my bed. Knowing my dad will be coming up any time now,I sighed and threw my comforter on the ground, making it look like Jacob slipped. Jacob's arm was healing, so it looked like the bite I took was weeks old. My dad opened the door, hitting Jacob on the head by,well, not accident, but you get the point. He ignored Jacob's vulgar profanities and insults as he looked at me. "Renesmee, what happened?" he asked. I did my best to make a story in my mind, knowing he would hear. He rolled his eyes and glared at Jacob."If I catch you touching her, you'll face the entire Cullen family, not just me and Bella." And with that, he left. Jacob groaned and sat on my bed.
"Could've shaken me," he complained.
"I did."
"Oh."
He thought about it for a while and leaned in to kiss my cheek. He stopped when we heard my dad's irrate tapping on the kitchen counter.
He helped me up and left so I could change clothes.
