I was so exhausted on the plane ride home I was asleep for most of it. Jacob never let me go; he had his arms around me the whole time. I was so grateful to have him in my life and for having a wonderful family that never gave up on looking for me. Every now and then I would wake up for a few seconds and hear things like permanent damage and lasting effects, I was sure everyone wanted me to be okay. The truth was; I was better than okay I was great. It may seem strange being taken away and held captive for almost a week, but it made me more appreciative for everything and everyone in my life. I woke just before we landed in Seattle. “Are we home yet?” I reached for Jake and hugged him around the neck. “We are just landing in Seattle, we should be home within the hour; or maybe less with the way your father drives.” Jake gave my dad a wink from across the aisle. “Not to worry Ness, I’ll have you home and in your own bed in no time. If you’re still tired you can sleep some more.” Jake had his hand on my cheek rubbing it softly. I looked around and saw everyone was still asleep, “What time is it?” “It’s about two in the morning. You’ve been sleeping for thirteen hours. How are you feeling?” “I feel fine why?” I didn’t want to have this conversation with him now on the plane. “Well let’s see, you where kidnapped and held against your will, tortured, and saw your parents rip apart a vampire right before your eyes. Now I’m not a doctor but that would have to leave some kind of mental scar on a person.” “Jake can we talk about this later; I really am not in the mood for this discussion. Plus this isn’t the place for it either. I promise I will tell you all about it when we are in our home together.” I gave him a quick peck on the cheek and snuggled back into him. When the plane landed we quickly went to the car and my father drove us home. “Well Ness, do you want to see everyone or would you like to go home?” My father asked me. “If you don’t mind I would love to go home and take a shower and sleep in my own bed for a few hours. Please tell everyone I love them and I will come and see them in the morning.” More than anything I wanted to see everyone. But, I promised Jake I would talk with him and I think I should do that sooner rather than later. My parents dropped us off in front of the house, they told me they loved me and kissed my cheeks. “I’ll call when I’m up and we can go see everyone.” I told them. I watched them drive back to the Cullen house where I knew everyone would be waiting for me. Jake was behind me with his hands on my waist. “So, do you want to take that shower now?” He asked me squeezing me into a hug. “No Jake I think we should talk first. I want you to know what happened to me, but we should do it outside just in case you get too angry.” I didn’t want him to phase right in the house. Maybe I should have had someone stay with me just in case he hurt me; not on purpose, but by accident. “Are you sure that you want to know what happened?” I wanted to be sure, he was put through enough not knowing where I was for four days. “Ness, I need to know. I want to know so I can help you.” He was pleading with me. So I very carefully put my hands on his face and showed him everything that had happened. When Johan had cut my arms to see if I would bleed a lot, how fast I could heal from the wounds and how much force it took to cut my skin. I showed him the snake bites, the ant bites and the scorpion bites. I let him see me crying on the floor of that cell I was trapped in. Then I showed him how happy I was to see him through the fence when he came to save me. “Ness honey, I’m so so sorry. I wish I could have been there sooner or even better I wish this would have never happened.” He picked me up and held me tight to his body. “Jake aren’t you angry?” I was confused. I was sure that he was going to freak out. “I’m not angry; I’m hurt that you had to go through that. I just didn’t want you to go through the pain of recovering by yourself. I wanted to know what you went through so I could help you.” He said. “So, can we go in now and take a bath? I know I must smell like something died.” I was waving my hand in front of my face. “You don’t smell; you’re perfect.” “You’re just saying that because you’re my husband.” I smacked his arm playfully. He picked me up and cradled me in his arms. “No I’m not just saying that.” He kissed my cheek and we went into the house. He set me on the couch and took off to the bathroom. “What are you doing Jake?” I screamed at him. “Just give me a few minutes. You’re not in the house for five minutes and your all ready nagging me.” I could tell by the tone of his voice he was messing with me. “Okay, you can come in now.” He said from the bathroom. When I walked in he had our big tub full of bubbles and the lights turned down. “Now you just get in and relax for a while. Just yell if you need anything.” Jake was walking out the door. “Where are you going?” I was suddenly terrified to be alone at the moment. “Just into the kitchen, don’t worry honey; I’m not leaving your side ever again.” He gave me a wink and was out the door. The bath water was just right, not too hot and not too cold. I sat in there for what seemed like forever. Everything was going fine until I heard something fall in the kitchen. “Jake what’s going on out there?” I yelled from the tub. “Nothing, I just dropped a bowl on the floor.” I knew he was up to something in there. I got out and toweled off. I quickly went to the bedroom and into the closet to find a suitable outfit. It was the middle of the night and I should be sleeping; so I figured pajamas would do the trick. I put on my favorite blue pajama pants and a white t-shirt of Jake’s. As I was walking into the kitchen I was taken over by the smell that was coming at me. Eggs, bacon, pancakes and orange juice; he had made breakfast for me. “I didn’t know what you where hungry for so I just made whatever was around. I hope you’re hungry; I think I made enough for you, me and the rest of the pack.” “Jake thank you, I didn’t know I was so hungry till now.” I grabbed a plate and loaded it up with food. We made our way to the couch and turned on the TV. We sat there and ate; Jake was done before I was. He had his arm around me and I was snuggled into his side. He would kiss my head every now and then, and trace circles with his fingers on my arm. I was so grateful to be home. I must have eaten too much and fallen asleep on the couch with Jake. When I awoke the in the morning I was in my bed. I rolled over and Jake was awake staring at me. “What are you doing?” I said with a tired voice. “I just can’t get over how beautiful you are.” He reached over and kissed me. I know he meant for that to be just a small kiss, but I couldn’t help myself. I wrapped my arms around his neck and pulled him closer to me. He pulled away from me “Ness are you sure you want to do this? You know you just got back we don’t have to.” “Jake I want to, I need to be close to you.” It didn’t take much convincing after that. His big arms encircled my waist and he pulled me on top of him. Our kisses where so passionate, I was sure no one had ever had a kiss like that before. He pulled off my shirt and ran his hands down my back. Our breathing was becoming more ragged as our heart beats increased. We loved each other for hours; when we were done we both lay there trying to steady our breathing. I looked at Jake and he looked at me and we couldn’t help but laugh at each other. “I think I should get you up to the Cullen house so everyone can see you. We don’t want them to think I’m keeping you hostage in here.” “I think you’re right. I’m sure everyone is dyeing to see me.” I jumped out of bed and got dressed. I knew I was going to have to tell my story to everyone again. It didn’t matter anymore, I was home and I was safe.
