EDWARD & BELLA AT THE PROM
Edward as well as incredible love for Bella which in turn makes him perfect for her and she perfect for him. In every sense of the old saying: They cannot live without each other. This is is made plain in New Moon when Edward leaves Bella in order to protect her form him.
Bella becomes a literal zombie.Devastated by Edward's decision to leave her. One of my favorite quotes form New Moon is when Bella says to Edward: "I'd rather die than be with anyone but you" She nearly does die without him. Well she doesn't commit suicide but she is in a great deal of pain the entire time that Edward is gone.
When Bella stops Edward form revealing himself to the Volturi it shows their deep & total love for each other. Through Edward is in a sense a total gentleman in the third novel Eclipse he is shown to have one fatal flaw:He can be extremely overprotective.
This is especially true if he thinks Bella's life is at risk. Edward displays this quite frequently in Eclipse. Through he only does it because he believes it is for Bella's best interest. Towards the middle of Eclipse Edward eventually accepts Bella's judgment and lets her make her own decisions.
At the end of Eclipse Bella accepts Edward's proposal. Edward displays his extreme protectiveness of Bella again in Breaking Dawn when he realizes she is pregnant. Edward immediately wants her to get rid of the baby because it is endangering her life.
He even tries to convince Bella to have a child with Jacob.Through Bella is truly touched by Edward's caring for her she is adamant about having Her & Edward's baby and no one else's.
The unconditional love Bella & Edward have for one another truly makes them the embodiment of Soul Mates!
