alone without a friend;
and then the darkness grabs my hand,

for black water grasps my hair.
The black turns to red,
that is all I see.

To explain this poem, i will say basically,a person is walking alone down a street when a vampire attacks them. They lose all of there senses but know that they still have them. The black water symbolizes unconciousness. When the black turns to red, that is when they relize they are beginning to die, and since they are dying, that is all they will see. When they try to pull away they are attempting to get away from the vampire, but they die. The last stanza is from the vampire's point of view. He was going to befriend the human but then his instincts took over and he killed him. When I say 'killed him once again' I mean that he killed the reincarnation of his best friend, as he always had. If you look at the two picures, you notice that one has a moon, the other doesn't. The moon is supposed to be the human.
