Let's give Jacob Black some credit, shall we? (New Moon and Eclipse spoiler)

ok so when i first read the first three books (Twilight, New Moon & Eclipse) i absolutly hated Jacob, i mean to me he was just a stupid and immature kid, too young for Bella, and he was just constantly trying to steal Bella, forcing her to kiss him then that thing with the motocycles in the end of New Moon...i truly hated, he was always acting like that and the part on Eclipse when Jacob and Bella kiss in the forest..that really irritated me. So as you can see i hated Jacob and you're maybe wondering what made me change my mind..well when i read the books again and after i read a POV of Jacob Black in Twilight/New Moon i started to think about several things about him and something that Edward said,too, made me realize that maybe Jacob is not so much that monster some people say he his. Edward said something to Bella like "..i left you and now i have to deal with the consequences of that.." well Jacob was the consequence and if it wasn't for him Bella would probably never had recovered from Edward's absence, and then Jake saved her when Laurent came to visit her..when she jumped off the cliff he transformed himself in a werwolfe just to save her (i saw this on his POV) when she was too cold he was there to warm her..he didn't like to be a wolve but once he realized that he could protect Bella by being like that he started to like the idea..so he did a lot of good thing for Bella. we can't only see the bad ones..when he wasn't being stupid he treat her the right way, so it would be inevetible for him to fall in love with her and vice-versa. All he did when Edward enter Bella's life again, as you probably know, was trying to show her that she loved him too, but not as much as Edward and Jacob knew that..and he wasn't just being coky Bella did really loved him..just not enough..he was right so why blaming him for just trying to see if he could have a chance and open Bella's eyes for how she really felt..maybe he played a little dirty but like Bella says he's just an idiot wolve, so what nobody's perfect not even Edward cuz he did played a little dirty himself..and Jacob couldn't live with that idea "..what if Bella knew would she have changed her mind.." so he did everything he could, he tried..Bella loves him but she'll always belong to Edward and Jacob knows Edward loves her and i think he always knew how Bella felt he just had to make sure.. and he suffered a lot with all of this too, Bella gave him a lot of false hopes..but in the end he accepted the truth and he even accepted the idea of Bella becaming a vampire so he really showed that he truly loved her by letting her go in the right path. So i consider all of this and i don't hate Jacob i mean if Forks was a normal world without vamps and wolves, Jacob would belong to Bella and they would make a good couple am i right? ;D
i understand some people don't like Jake i really didn't like him too, and i'm not expecting anyone to change they're mind after reading this, i just wanna to express my opinion here and point it out that i was team Edward but i'm not anymore nor am i team Jacob, i'm team Switzerland! =D But of course Edward will always be my number 1 favorite! Cuz he dazzles me ;) <3 ok people comment and pretty please if you're gonna comment with Jacob or other characters performance trought the books don't spoil Breaking Dawn for me cause i haven't read yet pleaseee..thanks ^^

i mean, haven't any of you had a crush on someone that didn't like you back? had someone crush on you without liking them back?
well, this is the same only 100x worse for jacob
and its also 100x worse for bella because she loves him, too but her heart's too broken to love him enough, and for that i blame edward for leaving her. if he hadn't done that, the jacob complications never would have happened. but they did. and jacob's love for bella was pure and true. he would do ANYTHING for her. he was just really confused and frustrated that his love was unrequited. When he made bella kiss him... he wanted her to realise that she loved him too. he wanted her to stop lying to herself. bella lies to herself a lot
and people always argue about how manipulative jacob is... edward is, too!! he's always lying and he has that was of persuading bella to do what he wants with his voice and his smell... he uses it all the time!!
jacob only lies to bella because of his loyalty to his pack. he wouldn't if he could, but he has to because of the ties he shares with the other wolves... i think jacob is a far more honest person than edward... its not a good idea to marry a drug. jacob is far more human and if vamps and werewolves didn't exist, bella and jacob would be perfect for eachother... easy as breathing

Personally, I agree with you. Jacob is not such a jerk like most people think. I received a comment on my pick question, stating that Jacob sucks, etc., etc... and that I can keep Jacob.
Coming back to the point, jacob is a really good friend in need to Bella. Perhaps there's even more behind the word friend. Although, Jacob did behave like a jerk in some parts(especially New Moon), his deeds shouldn't be taken lightly. We shouldn't forget- Jacob did help Bella a lot when she was falling apart after Edward left her. And yes, Bella did give Jacob false hope.

I dunno why but I thought Bella was a little ungrateful towards Jacob. The part Bella(vampirized) lunged at him after dicovering that he imprinted on Renesmee. I was pretty much annoyed! After all that he has done for her.

In a Way hes luckier and now you might feel bad for him but he gets the better end...BUT I LOVE HIM TOO hes so immature and i like immature guys...edward was very amazing but then when he started to get too protective it was sort of a turn off...But I love them BOTH equally and i didnt read the last book yet but i heard bella and edward die IM REALLY WISHING THEY DIDNT...
Im so obsessed with these books i cant stop thinking about it and i have no clue how ill feel when im done reading it!!!
and you have very good points there about Jacob
and Edward certently doesn't die cuz he's already dead and Bella dies because she becames a vampire i think that why ;)

But I understand after thinking about it. It must have been so hard for him to watch bella pining for a guy who'd broken her heart when her own "personal sun" was there, fixing her and she was totally oblivious to the fact that he loved her. His heart was broken, just like hers. She thought edward didn't want her, jacob KNEW bella didn't want him. It must have been rough for him to see her so fragile because of his mortal enemy, and not actually be able to do anything about it.
But reading breaking dawn really put his character into perspective for me. I kind of get him now. And I appreciate like the depth of his love for bella. He knew he could never have that, he pretty much resigned himself to that fact early on. But he just wanted to feel something. To be happy.
And in all honesty, who behaves rationally with a broken heart?
For the record, I am and will always be team edward, I just sympathise with jacob.
In summary: I don't hate jacob anymore. Haha

He was there to pick Bella up and was sweet and caring
plus he has a totally great sense of humor and just drop dead adorable!!!

Anyways...
I never hated Jacob. He made me so happy in New Moon [it's my fav of the three so far] when he helped Bella out of the darkness. He was definitely right when he mentioned in Eclipse that he would have been much healthier for Bella; that he would've been like the air... blah blah.
But all the while, I've never been able to erase the knowledge that Bella and EDWARD are meant to be together. No new love is going to change that. I love Jacob, and he deserves his soulmate! He deserves the one who is going to love him in return as much as he'll love them. He does not deserve to be settled for when Edward gets to weak to face his emotions.
I don't want Jacob and Bella to be together. Bella belongs to Edward. There will never be a relationship more perfect and absolutley wonderful than those too.
I've given Jacob plenty of credit! It's just not meant to be.
oh ya..... for who ever didnt read breaking dawn i realy think you should read breaking dawn!! i thought it was the best book out of the series!!!!!!
but then..after i read breaking dawn .. well,i started to like him ..but i still like edward the most !!

He did acted mean and rude allot, but that was the wolf, his instinct (vampires are his enemies) and the immaturity in him. He acted as a young boy would and the wolf in him made it worse.
You must understand that the rage and hostility is necessary for the young wolf pack to phase until they can control their abilities. I do believe Bella and Edward belong together, but i don't hate Jacob for trying to save his friend.
I like his character, he's funny, direct and caring.
About that imprinting, i thought it was wrong too, but he couldn't help it. it isn't something he could control. So i don't blame him for it.
What if Edward didn't have the smell and voice that lours his pray (after all that's what vampires use)would Bella loved him as much?? I wonder......
