I know it has been, like, forever since I've written last! Sorry about the minor delay, I was having some problems:( But I just couldn't stop writing for long, so I am starting up again-I am going to focus on everyone, with the exception of Sarah. I am still very much stuck with the direction I want to go with her. I have a naughty way, and a naughtier way! I told my inner perv to just shut up for, like, five minutes, but she never listens to me! Grrr! So I may just have to go with the naughtier direction for Sarah's POV!( If ya'll like Tyler, I may even put his POV in here, too! That may not be very appropriate for ANYONE, though!) I am trying to keep up the cliffhangers as long as I can in this little section of the story, cause I think that they will fit VERY well in this part of the story!( insert evil laugh HERE!) Therefore, these next few chapter are going to be pretty short, but I am hoping to make them a reasonable length if I write alot of rubbish up here in bold telling you about it! See, I am so clever! Anyway, enjoy!
End of pt.16, Erik's POV:I heard my cell phone chime, telling me that I just got a text. Marcus was a fast texter. I just flipped open my cell phone to read the directions when out of nowhere, a car came speeding towards me. I wasn't fast enough, so the car ran right into me.
I passed out for a minute or two, because not much time had passed since I'd spoken to Marcus.
I had a hard time getting out of the banged-up car. When I practically stumbled out and examined the car, I just shrugged it off. I could just buy a new one tomorrow. I heard a car speeding in the distance. I would know that engine anywhere. Marcus was already on his way.
I walked from the middle of the street to the sidewalk, checking out the scene. No second car in sight. That meant that I was dealing with stronger forces than I initially thought.
The bright lights that suddenly filled my vision blinded me, causing me to stumble backwards onto the grass, nearly tripping me. I was hanging around Sarah too much. Ah, hell! I needed to hurry and find her! I got distracted, which I assume was the plan.
The bright lights came closer until they screeched to a stop. Marcus hurried out of the car and was at my side in a second. He was going to say something, but stopped, put on a puzzled expression, and turned towards my jumbled mess of a car, speeding to it. I heard rattling, shaking, and then running. Marcus returned with my cell phone. He put out both of his hands, one containing my cell, the other empty. I grabbed his forearm, and he pulled me to my feet. He opened his mouth again.
"I thought that you would need my help", He said smugly." I didn't want you to risk your life again." He said, more seriously this time, staring at the green ground. He scowled at the ground, and glared up at me."You are like a brother to me. I promised your family I would take care of you as long as life would allow. I never break my promises. And I don't want to have to make an exception." He said coldly. His words hurt me. But I didn't think that he would do that unless he had no choice. Maybe he didn't.
"I am so sorry that I am putting you through this again. But I don't need your protection, I simply asked for your assistance." I responded with the same level of ice. He froze then, and held, but tried to hide, an expression that I asssumed was pain. We stood silent for a moment. We both stayed staring at the ground. Then He abruptly turned in the direction of Sarah's house. Without looking at me, Marcus said," We need to get going before someone else gets hurt. No one needs to be in the middle of this."
Someone is hurt? I shut down in shock and fear. I then felt a sharp wind push past me and looked up. Marcus was at the front door already. He looked back at me. I raced to him. He waited for me before he entered. We walked into the front room, and I held my nose to avoid the smell that I knew intoxicated the home. I knew what I was going to see, but when I did, I realized that I wasn't prepared for what I was about to witness.
Cliffhangers are making me tired, but I am trying to save my self some writing. Like I said, these are short, but They are appropriately inserted as needed.
