I got out of the car and locked my door, nervous and embarrassed for being late...for our anniversary. I raced up the steps and knocked on the door. No one answered after a minute or two, so I turned the knob; the door was open. I walked in to hear a loud crash coming from the kitchen. I ran to the kitchen to Damon and Stefan arguing-again. I stayed out of sight, hoping they wouldn't notice my presence, but I wanted to find out what the problem was.
"I asked you to get the red ones, not the white ones!", Stefan scolded Damon.
"You know, just because I'm dead doesn't mean I am immune to color blindness, Stefan!" Damon replied.
"Oh, you are not color blind! You just have A.D.D.!", Stefan said.
"Who cares! The point is that if you don't tell her, she won't ever know!", Damon shot back.
"Tell who what?", I asked quietly, causing the two vampires to stare at me in surprise.
"Hi, Elena! Happy Anniversary, love!" Stefan said with a big smile, quickly recovering from his shock. He came over and wrapped his arms around me, kissing me with a passion that could set the house on fire.
