I may have a great idea for your play. I am a separated black woman who is recovering paranoid schizophrenia. I have a boy who has autism, and an estranged husband who is an alcoholic and a drug addict. My husband abused me in many ways, I fought back; he called the police on me many times. The police had me charged for domestic violence, had me in jail, and was hospitalized too many times; he told the whole town that I was a crazy un-fit mother; therfore, my son was taken away from me few times.
I felt that the whole town was against me until I had to leave town to find help. I met a paster and his wife in Cleveland,Ohio. I learned how to gain knowledge and wisdom bu the grace of God. Cut-down medications, took anger management, and began my recovery of schizophrenia.
Later that time, there was a major drug bust at my enstranged husband's home where my son was at. It was on the news. He was taken away to child protective services.
One day the social worker came up to me and asked me, "Are you ready to regain custody of your child?"
