people just like a bit of fear in their life. it's exciting. Vampires are dead but still dangerously sexy! whats not to like about them? they're not rotting in the floor. They're fascinating & tantalising ;D
To me personally, the fact that they indeed are not real, is a significant part of why I so love them. I just know that if they were really out there - a big part of th fascination would be lost. I believe I'm refering to their mythic level of exsistance.
And I guess there's just something about the solitary creature of night that can never see the sun for real and has to feed on only human blood (and has cool fangs), yet used to be once just a human the same, enjoying life and the preciousness of time, which the last mentioned would be lost to immortality.
It's the dark, sinister tragedy that the vampire is. Especially if they are not portrayed as soulless/heartless and boring but if they have humanity left but the monstrous side too, and not forgetting that they should be indepthly and delictely above human race. Well, yeah - Anne Rice vampires (especially the Lestat after IWTV) are the ultimate kind for me. I think they are the kind the vampires should be if they should exsist.
Whatever kind of the vampire, I don't fear them. I love them. (And Twilight doesn't have vampires. They're meyerpires.)

exactly. Twilight vampires r a whole new specise of vampires.
They r dark, deviant, mysteriuouse, dangurouse, deadly and fearful. not to mention kinda sexy. But hate to break it to you but vampires are real. they just aren't like the vampires you know. infact most real vampires dont drink blood. all i'm saying is you should know before you yell they arent real. (no offence)
This is why i like vampires. i find them so intriging and interesting. ofthers migth not agree w/ my reasons though.
its not about loving or not loving vampires its about your taste in literature and a lot of vampire books are suspenseful, thrilling, and deal with real life problems. im not gonna stop liking vampires just because they've gone mainstream.
well. i love vampires. its the beauty of the creatures. like the male ones, they are beautiful and charming, everything a girl wants in a man. Take Edward in Twilight for an example. He is tall, muscular, beautiful facal structure, protective, talented, and dangerous. That's how I feel about it. Im not sure if thats how everyone else feels but...yeahhh lol.
