As is custom for each heir of the Reyne name, Aeden's blade was forged with Drakenstone which turns the blade from a shiny steel appearance, to that of a light crimson red.
History¬
As a young boy, living in the keep of Castamere, Aeden's life was lavish and prosperous. He would pretend he was a dragon slayer from the tales of old and read of how the Targaryens conquered the land of Westeros. When he came of age, Aeden worked tirelessly to learn the art of the blade. Even spent six years in Lannisport learning from the Sword Master Torgon Allistare. Since his family was the second wealthiest in all of Westeros, he was promised a good Lannister wife. The young man, at the time, had no wish to be married off, especially when it was not by his own will. To avoid this, he convinced his eldest brother to marry the woman in his stead. Furious, his father sent him away to Kingslanding as the lowest of the Kingsguard, saying; "This was your doing, boy, now bring us honor and serve the king with your life." Five years later, Aeden had made it all the way to the First Officer of the Lord Commander of the Kingsguard. Life was rather pleasant and simple, at least until the King was slain, along with the Lord Commander. From that point on, Ser Aeden of House Reyne's life was forever changed...

The Sigil(Symbol) of House Reyne has always been the Mighty Red Lion, not to be mistaken for the Golden Lion of House Lannister. The two Houses are the richest in all of Westeros, providing money for vast armies and weapons. The Lions of Westeros have shared alliances for centuries since the last rebellion. Although they cooperate with one another, members of both families have withheld a longstanding rivalry of dominance, even though House Reyne has sworn fealty to the Golden Lion.
