Yes the scene when Arnie finds Bonnie dead. I sobbed like a baby, Arnie was just so helpless and confused. The part that pushed me over was when They had to burn the house. Throughout the movie you see Gilbert had been embarrassed from his overweight mother, and at the end he feels remorse for his mom. And It was tearjerking when Arnie had outbursts. The entire "Dads Dead scene had me a little bit teary eyed.
After you watch this movie you will feel changed. Arnie doesn't understand what happens around him. He is always confused. He wants to be a big kid. He wants to grow up. He just doesn't know how.
A good ol' tearjerker consists of 2 things. Great Acting. DiCaprio's performance is outstanding, Throughout the entire movie you follow Arnie's story. He only has 3 people, Gilbert, Who really cares, he wants the best for his family. Gilbert plays with Arnie, and he really enjoys it. His mother, Bonnie. Bonnie is depressed. She has been since her husbands suicide. And she isn't a good mother. Gilbert is his family. And then we have Amy. She wants to help. She really does. But can't do it as well as Gilbert.
The 2nd ingredient is good script And story. This story is of man who has to provide for his family. His mom can't do it. He has to buy groceries get a job and mantain a family. You see through this moVie it takes a toll on him. He becomes stressed out. He gets so frustrate that he even slaps Arnie.

All together this is a great movie. I give it a 9.7/10. It would have been great to see after Arnie's birthday. It has been 20 years since it was made I would love to see how they shaped up as adults. Fantastic tearjerker.
