"My dad wants to meet you for Christmas dinner." Remy said as she handed James a mug of hot cocoa.
"He does? That is...understandable." He said with a nervous twitch. Remy smiled and sank down next to him on the sofa.
"My dad is actually very laid back about my significant others. He'll adore you. I mean, who couldn't?" She declared before placing a chaste kiss on his cheek. He grinned and took a sip of his drink.
"I haven't met a girlfriend's father in a long time...What does your dad like?"
"When did it start?" House asked with a strange look on his face. Wilson sighed and sat down at the table.
"Nothing has started. Sometimes we have lunch together on the weekend..."
"You are seeing her outside of work and knowing you, paying for both meals, something has started."
"Look, three weeks ago I ran in to her at that old movie theater on fourth and we thought it would be silly to not sit together since we were both seeing the same movie..."
"And one thing led to another?" House asked with a bitterness to his voice.
"Are you gonna be okay when I start to...Lose control?" She asked as she played with her napkin.
"That's years from now... who knows what medical breakthroughs will happen." Wilson said with a hopeful smile. She looked up at him and sighed.
"I love your optimism but unfortunately I don't share it."
He grimaced and stood up. He walked over to her and sat down.
"What is this about, Remy?"
"James, I'm dying and probably will be dead within the next six years...You've already lost Amber and been through so much with House,Danny, and as an oncologist watching so...
