Will slowly started to open her eyes. She started observing her surroundings; she was in a lab of sorts.

As she was looking around, she noticed Miranda who was staring back at her.

"You!" Will shouted at Miranda as she tried to reach out for her but couldn't move.

She noticed she was strapped to a metal bed of sorts.

"What's going on? Where am I?" she asked Miranda.

"You are in the lab of Dr. Trask. He is the one who asked me to bring you here."

"Who's Dr. Trask? And what does he want with me?"

Before Miranda could speak, Dr. Trask walked in the room.

"That is not for her to say," Trask said as he walked up to Will. "My little experiment is finally awake, I see."

"Experiment; what are you talking about?" Will asked him.

"You are an abomination, a mutant. You are a threat to humanity, a threat I will deal with."

"Dr. Trask, the girl has—" Miranda started to speak before being interrupted by Trask.

Will had run so far from the mansion she eventually made her way to the street. The street was paved with thugs.

"Hey, Red! What's a girl like you doing in a place like this!" A thug wearing red banana hooted.

Another thug wearing a black leather jacket pulled out a knife. "It seems she's lost!"

A man, with long black hair tied in a pony tail and carrying a bat, steeped forward. "You know what we do to people who make their way into our neighborhood."

Will didn't know what to do; she was to afraid to use her powers and too afraid to go back to the mansion. She didn't even know how to find the mansion if she did go back. So she did the only thing she could think of, she kept running straight as the thugs began to chase her.

For many years, there has existed those who had special abilities. Fear of what others might think, these people kept their powers hiding, but there were those who found out these people's abilities. They considered them mutants and thought they should be dealt with.

Though without any actual proof, most people did not believe they existed. Those who had special abilities, but that hasn't stop those people from trying to find some means to dispose of the so called mutants.

In an attempt to protect themselves, some mutants fought back. Some even considered themselves the superior beings. This made an even bigger rift between Mankind and Mutantkind.
