On the trip out of SunClan territory Starpaw talked only to Crowpaw, then Crowpaw asked " Will you teach me to fish?"
" Of course" Starpaw said, when she found a pond she told the group to stop, " Why?" they complained.
" To get some fresh-kill" she said.
"What kind?" Smokepaw asked.
" Well, fish, toads, rabbits, mice, birds" she said she was going to continue the list the cats were looking at her in aw.
"How do you know to catch all of those kinds of prey?" Swiftfoot said impressed.
" I'm the oldest of six cats who like prey they come from their clan name I had to learn like my brothers and sisters" she said. Wow, she thought, if these cats are going to survive they need to learn how to hunt different prey, as well as eat different prey.
" Crowpaw come with me we will hunt toads and fish, Swiftfoot and Smokepaw will hunt toads and fish, Brightheart, Feathertail , and Stormfur will hunt rabbit, mice and magpie" Starpaw said, " Got it?" They all nodded. " Come on Crowpaw" Starpaw ordered. They were walking to a when Crowpaw stopped " Starpaw, this may have came a little to late but, uh well, I love you Starpaw" he said with his face towards the ground.
Starpaw didn't know how to react be her heart had already spoken for her " I love you too Crowpaw" with a tingle she really did love him.
" Really!" he said with a shock. "I thought you liked Swiftfoot."
" No, I LOVE you" she said with a softness in her gaze.
" Let's hunt Crowpaw" she said excidedly.
" Ok so teach me to fish" Crowpaw said.
" First you get near the edge of the water but, make sure your shadow is not on top of the water so you don't scare the fish away, then when you see a fish you have to be fast, keep your claws sheathed and...." she was lightning fast and hooked the fish and threw it on land." Scoop it up, now you try". Crowpaw got it on the first try and wanted to hunt the toads now.
" So how do you hunt toads?" he asked.
" Like rabbits, but remember they are very slippery" Star paw said with a warning. He got that on the first try to! " We've caught enough prey let's go" Starpaw said sweetly. They talked on the way back, and when they got there Feathertail looked at her like she ruined her entire life." Feathertail can I talk to you?" Starpaw said.
" Sure" Feathertail said miserably.
" What did I do?" she asked Feathertail.
" I loved Crowpaw and he liked me but then you came along and ruined our love I'll never have kits with he and he'll never be my mate" Feathertail said in anger.
" Feathertail it's not my fault he loves me" Starpaw said then she knew she shouldn't had said anything.
" What! He said he loved you!" Feathertail said getting even more angery.
" Yes, but,-" Starpaw began.
" Never talk to me again you stole my love!" Feathertail screamed, and then stormed away.
" What happened?" Crowpaw asked.
" Feathertail loved you, and she blames me for you loving me" Starpaw said sadly.
" What! I'll go talk to her-" Crowpaw started.
" No, I'd feel the same way if you loved her instead of me. Just leave her alone" Starpaw said.
" Ok" Crowpaw said.
Swiftfoot had found a old tabby who knew the way and the took seven more days when they to there Starpaw looked at the sun- drowned-place" To get to the cave we have to swim Feathertail and Stormfur you guys will help Swiftfoot, Brightheart, and Smokepaw I'll help Crowpaw" she ordered.
They all jumped in and swam to the cave." Wecome cats" said a creature.
" Who's there" Crowpaw said and a badger came forward.
" Badger, attack!" Swiftfoot yelled.
" No! I'm am Midnight!" the Badger said.
