Chapter 10
“It appears an animal attacked him but the claw marks look almost….human,”
“How could a person do something like this?”
Voices echoed in and around him. They sounded so distant like he was under water.
His face burned like something tore the skin off and left it bare to the elements.
A light glowed around his eyes; a strong smell of oxygen filled his nose as he took in a deep breath.
The voices became louder as he became more awake.
“He’s starting to wake up.”
“What’s going on?” he winced. Talking made his face hurt.
“You’re in the hospital, you were found this morning and it appears you were attacked by an animal. Do you remember anything at all?”
The voice was female and was warm with kindness and concern. He was able to relax more but he strained to remember the following night.
“It was cold…”
“My friend’s body was on the ground. He was killed by something.” He managed to remember.
“A figure came at me; I tried to shoot it but missed. It killed my friend’s mother as she tried to shoot it herself.”
He felt warm tears form in his eyes.
“Then it came for me and it was too strong. It was no animal.” The tears fell as he choked out those last words.
“Are you sure it wasn’t an animal?” the warm voice said.
Jax opened his eyes, the light burned them but he looked straight at the woman who stood by his side. She was middle-aged with short brunette hair. Her eyes were dark green but they held a strong intelligence to them. He couldn’t read her ID badge but she definitely was a doctor.
“No. Not an animal.”

First person writing is when the characters is speaking directly toward another person(You). You use words like "I", "Mine", "We", "Us." The character is telling the story to you themselves.
Second Person
Third person is the exact opposite. Instead of the character talking to you, the narrator is talking about the character. Your main words are "You", and "Your."
Third Person
Third person is almost similar to second person. The narrator is talking to you, but instead they use words like "He", "She", "It", and "They." Third person books often have the most detail.
