I don't know about other people, but I've began to notice that we are relying on teachnology way too much!

Yes this question has been suggested to most of us before (most commonly by our parents). But this time it's different. It is normal for parents to think that teenagers are obsessed with our I-pods, i-phones, laptops or other. This is normal because our parents didn't have things like this when they were younger.

Most adults where I live including my parents didn't have the internet growing up. They all had to either go to the librery for information or have a collection of encyclopidias to be able to do their work. The fact is we use the internet more as it is easyer than doing things the hard way like our parents used to do, so for us it is no wonder that it has become so natural.

Something has changed. I don't know if people have noticed but young children ranging from the ages of around 3-5 are becoming more relient on the internet and other tools and appliences as well. This is a little worrying. When I was that age I was playing with toys not an i-pad!

The fiction story I wrote EXCLUSIVELY for Fanpop. Enjoy!

Summer wiped the tears from her eyes and looked up. The large Border Collie stood at the gate and caught Summer's gaze. To this the dog barked repeatedly. Summer ran to the gate, unlocked it, and swung it open.
The dog leaped on top of Summer excitedly and licked her face. Then, jumping off of the girl, the dog wandered over to the animals and plopped down in the shade.
Summer took one look at the dog, then her house, and quickly, she ran inside.
"I found another dog!" Summer exclaimed as soon as she burst in the door.
Shadow and Zoey, each resting in the parents' arms, jumped down and ran outside, barking. Summer and her parents followed.
The dog was still laying in the grass when they had gotten outside. Shadow and Zoey ran to their mother and snuggled in with her enthusiastically.
"Are they her puppies?" Summer asked with near certainty.
Her mother and father looked at each other and nodded happily.

Chapter 2
"Please! Please! Please!" I begged. My parents exchanged glances, then looked back at me.
"You want a lemur, Mana?" Mr. Walker asked.
"Yes! Please! I'll take really good care of her!" I pleaded.
"How much would it cost to take care of it?" Mrs. Walker asked.
"Well, they eat fruit, and not much because they're so small. Plus, this lemur was circus trained, so she shouldn't need anything special."
"What about health, and the veterinarians?"
"I'll turn 12 in a week, so I can babysit more often. I can use that money to pay for the vet's bill," I said, really having no idea. I just agreed to give my free time up for watching kids sleep!
My parents did another exchange of glances.
"We'll think about it."
Great. Now I had to wait. Just great.
The week passed by quickly. My parents never mentioned Lizabell. Before I knew it, it was my birthday.
It was a Sunday, so I was able to sleep in. I was sound asleep until [i] someone [i/] knocked on my door.
