The next morning, despite being deprived of sleep, I was wide awake. Carmine was in the kitchen, Nikolai getting ready for work in his room. I frowned when I saw Carmine in his work uniform.

"I thought..." I began. He shook his head, his mouth full of cereal.

"I gotta work today. We'll go another day though, ok?" he said.

"When are you off...?" I asked.

"Next weekend," he answered. I groaned.

"Seriously?!"

"Sorry! You know, you could get a job too, y'know!" he shouted. I clamped my mouth shut. Carmine never yells at me. Ever. "Y'know, you complain about Nikolai all the time! You're just as bad!"

"I'm only fifteen..." I said quietly.

"You could pass for sixteen if you want," he rolled his eyes. He stood up and left, slamming the door behind him. I was speechless. Nikolai came in, all ready to go to work. He sighed.

"He hasn't been the same since you and Reed've been gone," he said quietly.

Things were better after that. It was... boring I guess. But being bored is better than being raped. I walked for hours upon hours, still seeming to get nowhere. I was starting to believe I was truly lost. My stomach felt like it was starting to digest itself, which I hoped it wasn't, but I wouldn't be surprised. The only time I had something to drink was when it rained. I'd walk down the road, with my mouth open at the sky like a complete idiot. It worked a little though, and I kept myself from dehydrating.

It was three whole days before I got close to home. But I was so hungry and tired and hurting that I couldn't even bring myself to be happy. I stumbled on the sidewalk, just two blocks from the apartment. Then my body just couldn't take it anymore and I passed out.

***

I woke up, and my head was killing me. I rolled over on the sidewalk, only to see that it wasn't a sidewalk. I jolted all the way awake, hyperventilating.

I was home!

    Hug me, I said.
    He did.
    Hug me harder, I say.
    He does.
    A little more, I urge.
    The grip tightens.
    Perfect.
    Thank you, I said, humbly.
    He just rocks me.

I bury my face in his grey scarf, breath in, breath in, breath in. It smells like him, I think. The fresh smell of rain and the rarest drop of sunshine. His love, his warmth. Lord, it smells like him.
The sky was grey. Ever so gloomy. Like me. Gloomy. Defeated Unwanted. Hurt. The wind howled in pain. I wondered if it’s the same pain as mine. The aching gnawing pain that tightens each passing second.
    Is it?
His arms are so strong. Different, but still the same. It still held on to me like iron. A promise of never letting go. He never did, did he, I thought bitterly. He was always there. Always around the corner,...

Incase you didn't know, is is my new account because I couldn't for some reason log int my other one.

Chapter two.

When the school list pointed out that Alex couldn't go back to school shopping with her mom, she was upset. It was sort of a tradition that she and her mom go school shopping every year, and this was the first year that they didn't. The list said specifically "girls who have mugle parent/s are prohibited to bring there them school shopping, as they will not be able to see anything, much less the enterance.". When the letter said that, Alex quickly figured that she was not going to, like, a Target or something for supplies.

The letter said to go to the back wall behind the Stapels on the corner of Maine street and 7th street. All the bricks are gray, exept for one red brick on the very bottom row. Take that brick out, and put it in a empty hole three up and two over. Tap very other brick around it, and stand back. Two doors should open inward to Malaina ally.

I hadn't talked to Carmine at all after another week. It seemed like he really did give up on helping Reed. This made me furious, but what could I do? Go on with life was my only option I guess; and only hope that Reed only got a couple years instead of life. I'd stay here, with my new family and friends.

But who knew my enemy would actually help me?

I never thought Felicity would help me. Ever. I guess she didn't either; she wasn't trying to. We were at lunch, when Felicity got mad when no one was listening to her. Apparently Felicity had had enough of me.

"Why are you guys all over her?! She's just a little pest! No one wants her! Not even her own family," she said, her eyes falling down on me. Everyone was silent.

"Felicity, you don't know the half of it," Scout said. She was obviously hurt too. Felicity might've well as also insulted our sisters as well.

"Yeah, Felicity. Just shut the fuck up," Trace said. I felt like someone had just kicked me in the ribs. I left the lunch room, sitting out on the school's stairs, contemplating. Then the others came out.

It had been almost a month since I arrived at Gail's place. It wasn't that bad there. Actually, it was a lot better than I thought it ever would be. Since then, I had had absolutely no contact from my brothers. I was starting to get worried. How was Reed? Was Nikolai happy I was gone? Did they even miss me? One Saturday morning while I was eating breakfast Gail must;ve noticed I was in a mood.

"What's up, kiddo?" she asked.

"I just miss my brothers," I shrugged it off. "They haven't called or anything,"

"Well that's 'cause they can't," Gail said with a strange hint of optimism in her voice. They aren't allowed to see you or talk to you, seeing as they abused you and it wouldn't be good for you." I didn't bother to argue with this woman. But still, I needed to know what was going on with Reed. I waited a couple hours, then asked Gail if I could use her phone.

"How come, dear?" she asked. She didn't sound suspicious, but I was still afraid she'd catch on.

Bane’s POV

[i]I laid in the grass, watching the clouds. I was beginning to dose off, right before sleep took me, a body pounced on me. I groaned, and looked up. A shaggy haired boy was sitting on my chest, giggling. My best friend, Christian.
“Get off!” I yelled rolling over. He slid off me.
“Party pooper,” Christian stuck his tongue out at me. He was so childlike, but that was something I had always loved about him. That’s also why we got along so well. He was hyperactive and loud, while I was cynical and quite.
I smacked him in the shoulder, laughing.
“Bane!” My mother called at me through Christian’s screen door. She must’ve been here to pick me up. I looked at Christian and patted him on the back. I went in. Mom and I walked out to the car. “Did you say bye to Christian?” She asked as we were heading down the road toward our house.

Built For Sin
Darkness poured into the hybrid's room, filling the room with great depression. Rain drops made little trails down the window, almost like tears, down the cool glass surface of the window. Luna still needed to answers to her questions. Why was she here? What does she need to do? Why did her heart finally feel warm after what Hades told her about Leon's feelings?! The answers never showed up to her, no matter what she thought or did.
A big bewilderment sigh danced in the cool quiet air of the depressed dark room. Luna crashed her head into her hands and grabbed a hold of her hair in frustration. "W..why why why?!?!" Luna felt there was a heart attack sleeping in her chest! She cant come up with conclusions! Luna stood up with quite difficulty. She was shaking and knocking things over like she was drunk. Her face was dark; her bangs were clamped to her forehead and the side of her face. Nothing of her identity was exposed, due to her bangs and her hand over her dark face.

The next week was spent somewhat like that first day. We went to the park almost everyday. It wasn't that bad actually. It was kind of funny to see Jezebel and and Aspen run around like psychos. I was actually starting to warm up to Scout as well. It was cool to just talk to someone my age that was a girl too. I never had the chance to do that at school or home. I really like Aspen too. She's very mature for her age, when she wants to be. She has no problem goofing around like a little kid. She likes to talk about a bunch of things. I've become very close with her too.

Then soon came the Sunday before school.

"You'll be fine, I promise," Scout said as we got into our beds. I shrugged. "I'll introduce you to all my friends. We'll help you get around," she smiled.

"Thanks," I smiled back. To be honest, that didn't make me feel any better, but it was still a nice gesture. I had no idea what this school was like; I'd definitely be on alert the whole time. Scout seemed to see my hesitation.

Chapter 18

It was relatively a quiet night at the Slade Ranch in Las Vegas, New Mexico.
Cayden Slade noticed that the horses were slightly on edge as he put them in their barn for the night, there was a storm coming so perhaps the highly charged atmosphere was causing their edginess. He shivered as a sudden chilly breeze blew by, it was odd having it be this nippy at night during this time of year but he ignored it and headed back to the ranch house.
About a 15 minute walk since the ranch was not very large, considered very small by some rancher’s standards but at times it felt like half an hour, especially tonight. He wondered if the horse’s edginess was contagious as he began to feel as if he was being watched. He picked up his pace, only a 10 feet from his front door, he swore he could hear someone or something walking behind him but he didn’t want to risk looking and besides, he was probably just spooking himself. He opened the front door, slammed it shut and quickly locked it noticing he was breathing quite hard.

Oni
I was sitting. Doodling on a notepad with a purple pen and sitting on my favorite green beanbag chair.

“Oni, Oni!”(Oh-nee) Yelled my eldest sister June as she jogged into my room oh so gracefully. I sat upright, noticing that I was slouching again.

'Sit up straight or you’re gonna get a crooked spine and spend the rest of you’re life in a wheelchair.' I mocked my Mom’s frequent nags. She’s a Chiropractor, you know how they are.

“What is it my Lovely sister dear?” I asked June snidely while rolling my eyes.

You see, I haven’t been in the best mood these past few months. I just recently discovered that, that the guy who I thought was “the one” didn’t end up fitting the role. He never even loved me back. So let’s just say that I felt used, heartbroken, and depressed. I gave him everything. Just recently I got out of a depression.

Any way, “Oni! Mom and dad want to see you… like NOW!” said June, as she was tugging on my arm trying to pull me off of my lazy ass. I groaned. “Get up, or I’m gonna do it for you, don’t make me drag you down the hallway.” threatened June....

The next morning, I was woken up by a blinding light. I groaned and covered my eyes with my arm. What the hell was Nikolai or Carmine doing in my room this early?! I rolled over onto my stomach, smothering my face in my pillow.

"Good morning, Sunshine!" a female voice said. That woke me up.

"Huh?!" I said, leaning up real fast. Then I realized it was Gail. Then I realized I wasn't home. I frowned and rubbed my eyes. Gail had opened the blinds right by my bed. I looked over to the bed next to me; Scout was gone, her bed already neatly made.

"It's almost ten o'clock," Gail informed me. Then why'd you wake me up?I wanted to ask. Gail ripped my comforter off of me, onto the floor. "C'mon! Get up! Make your bed!" she said. She paused in the doorway. "Don't you have pajamas?" she asked. I shook my head. "Huh. We'll fix that later." She left. I groaned and laid back down for a couple minutes, then decided I couldn't go back to sleep. I made my bed, rather sloppily, and then went out to the kitchen.

We drove four three hours. I wasn't even sure we were in the same state anymore. Ms. Greener rambled on about where I was going to be staying, but I didn't pay attention, so it's still a mystery. After about an hour of mindless talking, Ms. Greener seemed to realize that I did not want to have a conversation; so she finally shut up. The rest of the car ride was pretty much silent, except for Ms. Greener occasionally pointing out beautiful landmarks.

We pulled up to a small little house, that looked like a ranch home. It was somewhere out in the country; nowhere near where I was used to growing up.

"Well, here we are!" Ms. Greener said cheerfully. I glared at the back of her head as she got out to get my stuff. I got out as well, and stood there, looking over the house. A big German Shepherd came out from the back of the house, and bared its teeth at me. I'd never had a dog, and this one looked mean. It ran at me, and I gasped and opened the car door again, jumping in and slamming the door behind me. The dog stopped a few feet away from the house, barking and growling at me. Only then did I notice the chain around the dog's neck, attached to the house. I...

"Murder?! What the --- Why did--- Who'd he...?" I stuttered. Carmine and Nikolai waited patiently for me to somewhat calm down.

"Dalton's dead," Carmine said grimly. Oh no. Dalton. He had a bunch of people that stand behind him no matter what. This was going to bring hell down on us. How could Reed be so stupid?!

"What the fuck was he thinking?!" I shouted. Neither of them said anything. "Andrew and his friends are going to kill us! I'm not going to be able to leave the house without getting jumped!"

"Harley, would you stop thinking about yourself for once?!" Nikolai shouted at me. clamped my mouth shut. We stared at each other for a long time.

"We're going to the police station to talk to him," Carmine said finally. I broke my stare at Nikolai and turned to Carmine. "Well?" Carmine asked, looking at Nikolai. He sighed and grabbed his keys off the table.

"Let's go," he grumbled. We went to the garage, where Nikolai's beat up old car was. Carmine and Nikolai left before me, and I put my hand into my pocket. The gun was still there. Crap. I took it out of my pocket, and ran back inside. I threw it under the sink for...

The next morning when I woke up, I was still on the couch. Reed was still deeply asleep, but Carmine was gone; probably at work. It was a safe bet that Nikolai was gone too. I stretched slowly; my body was really sore from sleeping on the couch like that. I yawned and slowly got up, not wanting to wake Reed up. I took a quick shower; the scar on my leg starting to become irritated. I put some burn medicine on it; because that's all we had that might help. I wrapped gauze around my leg. Then I got dressed and went to the kitchen for breakfast. There was a note on our tiny refrigerator.

"Harley, you'd better go to school today. -Nikolai." I frowned at the note. I guess I didn't have a choice. After yesterday a boring day at school wouldn't be toobad. I grabbed a granola bar from a cupboard, and got myself a glass of milk. Reed sat up on the couch, yawning and rubbing his eyes.

"Good morning," I said quietly. He waved tiredly at me.

"'Mornin;," he yawned. "Carmine and Nik already gone?" he asked. I nodded. "Good," he said, disappearing down the hall. I downed the rest of my milk and placed it carefully in the sink; among our growing collection of...

I got home, where Reed was at the kitchen table playing poker with some friends and smoking. I walked up to the table and threw the bag onto the table. His friends all looked at it, gaping. Reed laughed.

"Good job, baby sister!" he said. He took the bag and inspected it. I smiled at his praise. He looked up at me and smiled. "But shouldn't you be at school? If Nikolai finds out he'll bust your head in."

"So don't let him find out," I said like it was an obvious answer. His buddies laughed. Reed shook his head at me, but a smile still played on his lips. He threw the bag back at me.

"Well then, get lost!" he laughed. I rolled my eyes and went to my room to change clothes. I swapped my baggy black jeans for grey skinny jeans, and my maroon hoddie for a black A7X sweatshirt. I stuffed the drugs into the front pouch of the hoodie and walked out of my room back to the kitchen. Apparently Reed didn't know I was still here.

"Uh, you'd better get out of here. Nikolai just called;he said he was almost home from the store..." he said, sounding scared. I rolled my eyes at him.

What's the first thing on your mind when you hear the word love? A child might say Hearts, many people will say, two people in love.

For me, love makes the world go around. I don't know what that means but, it does. A lot of people say it. Wherever you go, whatever place you've been, there's always love.
It's also not just feelings but emotions. Your emotions draws you to that person, and sometimes we hope that that person likes us back too right?

Love is hard. We always want love. I don't know why a lot of people want love so much. When I see a couple somewhere, I get jealous. I tell myself: "I want that too."
To be honest, I haven't had a boyfriend yet and I want love so much. I want to experience what other people do, especially when their with their boyfriends'. I'm not talking about lust or sex.
I want to feel how is it to feel like the luckiest girl in the world. Because, when you're around that guy/girl, you can do anything you want.. he'll accept for who you are. You'll feel special around that person. When I'm down, I want someone to tell me: "Babe, it's okay. I'm here." Then he'll wrap me around his arms and feel safe.

"I still remember the world from the eyes of a child. Slowly those feelings were clouded by what I know now..."

I sat there in the police department, swinging my legs back and forth high above the floor. I was wearing my favorite purple dress and my butterfly sandals. My dark brown hair was in a high ponytail and it bounced as I looked both sides. Where was Mommy? Carmine and Reed sat next to me there, and they were not happy. Carmine, twelve at the time, had tears coming from his eyes. Reed, fourteen, had his face in his hands, so I couldn't see what he looked like. Soon I got sick of waiting and tapped Reed on the shoulder. He growled at me.

"Reed? When is Mommy coming back?" I asked. Reed didn't answer me right away. He rubbed the side of his head in circles like Mommy does when she's annoyed with me.

"She's not coming back, Harley," he told me finally. i pouted.

"Don't be a liar, that's not nice," I warned him.

1 year later...

I ran my hand through my hair, and took a deep breath. After a few more breaths, I finally got the courage to knock on the door. There were some shouts over who should get the door, and I smiled a little. A couple minutes later I heard the deadbolt unlock, and the door opened. I smiled shyly.

"Alessa?" he asked. Tears of joy began their journey down my face and I nodded, smiling hugely. Iwas pulled into a giant hug, and lifted me off my feet..

"Micah!" I shouted. He set me off the ground looked me over, and chuckled.

"You haven't changed a bit!" he smiled.

"I wish I could say the same for you..." I said, perplexed. It seemed Micah had gotten even taller, and his hair was straightened and cut into little tiny spikes that went each and every way. I asked Micah if he wanted to hang out, and he nodded eagerly. He called to his mother that he was going out, and we went to our old hang out place; the park.

"It won't be so bad," Micah said. He held my hand in both of his, as we sat on the porch swing.

"I know..." I said sadly. But it will be. The foster family that was taking me in lived a half hour away from here. I'd be going to a new school, have a new house, need to make new friends, and even live with new people. There's something not everyone gets to say. And I wouldn't be able to visit Micah.

"Alessandra!" called Mrs. Peters, my new foster-Mom, called. Her and her husband had finished putting my bags in the car, something they insisted on doing themselves so I could say goodbye to Micah. They were a nice couple, maybe forty-ish years old. They didn't have kids of their own; they dedicated their lives to helping less fortunate kids like me until they could find a permanent home. I turned to Micah, and seeing his face made my heart ache. But I had to stay strong; I wasn't even gone yet.

"I love you," he said, then leaned in to kiss me.

We went back to Alexander’s apartment after getting Lucy. Xander and Lucy had been sitting on the couch. He was fussing at her for running off.
“I can’t believe you didn’t tell me where you were going,” Xander’s lip curled up.
“I didn’t think you cared! You aren’t my damned guardian!” Lucy spat back defensively.
“Maybe not, but I care about you Lucy. I love you,” Xander looked down. My eyes were open wide, but I pretended like I wasn’t there.
“I-I love you, too,” Xander leaned in and kissed Lucy. I wanted to stand up and say something, but I couldn’t bring myself to do it. The display of love was too sweet. Alexander walked in the room, and looked at them wide eyed as I was. I looked up at him, and took his hand. Alexander looked down at me, stunned. I grinned and shook my head. Xander pulled back. Lucy blushed and looked over at Alexander and me.

A faint beeping noise entered my room of darkness. I squeezed my eyes shut even more, afraid to open my eyes again and see nothing. There was the noise again. And again. It sounded in a steady pattern. The more I comfheard it, the more it reminded me of where I was. Before, when it was complete silence, it felt surreal, like it was all a bad dream. Now it was a constant reminder that there was nothing left for me. I cried, and a wet tear rolled down my cheek. A tear? But when I died, I'd felt nothing. I couldn't feel or taste the blood that had been running down my lips. I couldn't feel the pain in my chest at all. Why could I feel my tears?

I was startled to feel something squeeze my hand. It felt like another hand. Slowly, I opened my eyes. I was ecstatic to see I was no longer in my room of darkness. I actually smiled a little bit to see that I was in a hospital room. The beeping noise was the heart monitor that was standing next to my bed. I sighed a breath of relief. With my free hand, I reached up to feel my face; was I really here?

"Alessa! What happened?!" Micah shouted. I had a long, somewhat deep scar around my face. Last night Dad pushed me down the stairs, and the railing had scratched my face. But I just shook my head.

"Nothing. I just fell," I said. He sighed and shook his head.

"Would you please be more careful? Do you know what it'd do to me if anything happened to you?" I frowned.

"I'm sorry," I said quietly. He rolled his eyes and hugged me.

"C'mon. We're late for school."

After school, I told Micah I wanted to go to the park or something; just to have fun. I didn't tell him I was still afraid to go home. He would worry if I told him I was still scared. We decided to go to the park. It was nice for a while, then something seemed to hit Micah.

"Alessa?" he asked. I looked up to him. "You'd tell me if something was wrong... right? No matter what it was?" I paused.

"Uh..."

"Because you know I want to be there for you. I want to help you if anything isn't right. No matter what it is." I closed my mouth. He knew. He knew something was terribly, terribly wrong. He'd finally put all the...

I have no idea what it's called yet. I would post this in answers but it's a little long. It's about a girl named Kathryn who is murdered and her ghost starts following around a girl named Ambyr (name subject to change, I'm just using it for now). This is the prologue:

PROLOGUE
She got up immediately after she tripped, mentally yelling at herself for not paying attention. She ran, her dark brown, almost black, hair bouncing. Tripping had let whoever was chasing her catch up a little. Faster, faster! She thought hard to herself. But she had been running for a long time. Imagine the person behind you is trying to murder you. Wait, that’s really what’s happening. Only she would have time for jokes in a time like this. Even though it was her last.
She burst out of the trees. It was broad daylight, but this was a tiny town and everyone was on vacation. She ran through the small street, trying to find a house with someone actually in it. She made the mistake of looking behind her for a split second, seeing the hooded person gaining on her. This made her more panicked. She tried running faster, but her legs were beyond sore. She...
