Elizabeth stood up, and left the room. She walked down corridor, after corridor. Stair case after stair case, when she heard a voice.
“I swear to God, Lucifer. Instead of being such a damned bastard-” it sounded like Wyatt’s voice. She crept closer to the wooden door.
“Hey, I’m not the one who decided to bring her in. She’s not right for this Temple.”
“Honestly Lucifer, you’re just mad, because she’s not drooling over you,” this was the angriest she had ever heard Wyatt. He almost sounded British when he was this mad.
“What? This has absolutely nothing to do with it. I just don’t want her here because-because,” Lucifer stammered.
“You can’t come up with a reason can you? You just think-”
“Hey guys,” said a calm, cool voice. She was pretty sure it was Xavier’s. “I think we have a little eavesdropper on the other side of the door.”
Damn it, Elizabeth thought, I hate vampyre hearing. She heard someone marching toward the door. Elizabeth turned to run, so she wouldn’t get caught. She didn’t want them to know it was her. She bumped into something cold, and strong. It was Xavier.
“So, what are you doing down here?” purred Xavier.
“I don’t believe that concerns you-” started Elizabeth. The door swung open.
“Oh, I believe it does. Get your ass in here,” Lucifer pulled her into the entry way of Wyatt’s study.
“Honey, really? Couldn’t you find anything better to do than to listen in on us?” asked Wyatt.
“No, I couldn’t. I was bored so I-”
“So, you thought you could just come waltzing down here, thinking you can just drop by on an important conversation?” Lucifer spat.
“No, I just-” started Elizabeth.
“You just what?” asked Lucifer, an evil glitter in his eye. She guessed he was more demon than human.
“Will you just shut the hell up, and let me speak!” shouted Elizabeth.
“Didn’t anyone ever teach you your manners? It’s not polite to curse,” said Lucifer.
“Go to hell, you self-centered bastard,” Elizabeth spat. Lucifer snarled, but before he could say anything Elizabeth flicked her hands out toward him. Blue sparks connected with his shoulder. Lucifer went to shoot back, but Elizabeth somehow put a shield up. Even though she didn’t have any training.
Lucifer lunged toward her, and they collided. Apparently, the shield was only protected against magic. Lucifer pinned her down by her shoulders. Elizabeth spit in his face. He went to knee her when, suddenly, they froze.
“All right you two. God, I feel like a damned third grade teacher. Now, do you want to sit, and talk about feelings toward each other, or simply get over yourselves, and get along?” said Wyatt. He was the one who froze them. He became frazzled easily.
“Umm, Wyatt, they can’t speak. You froze them,” said Eli.
“Oh, yes, sorry,” Wyatt smiled slightly. With a flick of his hand they unfroze. Lucifer fell on top of Elizabeth. It reminded her of a sex position she’d seen on a porn show once with Wyatt.
Wyatt chuckled, and said, “Elizabeth honey, I’ve always told you hate was a passionate emotion…Especially for Lucifer.”
“Shut up, Wyatt,” snapped Lucifer.
“Oh my God, get off of me. Ouch, God, you’re crushing me,” said Elizabeth.
“That just makes me want to stay here,” said Lucifer.
“Fuck you, Lucifer,” snapped Elizabeth.
“Oh baby, I know you want to,” Lucifer said this while he looked at her naughtily. He looked as if he longed for them to actually be having sex.
“Oh yeah, I really want you,” Elizabeth said sarcastically,
“Well then, you’ve got me. What do you plan to do now?” Lucifer asked with a sly smile. Elizabeth didn’t say anything.
“Lucifer, get off of Elizabeth. I am her whore, not you,” said Wyatt grinning.
“Damn it, would you be interested in giving it up, and giving me your position?” asked Lucifer, seeming almost serious.
“No, and besides, there are times when she likes to ride on top. I don’t really think you’re into that,” said Wyatt matter-of-factly.
“No way, there is no way you are that risqué,” Lucifer said looking down at Elizabeth.
“Oh honey, you would be shocked,” said Elizabeth. Lucifer chuckled a little, Elizabeth could feel his body move on top of hers. Lucifer gave her one last look in the eye before rolling up to his feet. He bent down to help Elizabeth up. Lucifer pulled her to her feet.
“New rule; no more screwing around in my study unless it’s me,” said Wyatt looking at the floor.
“What? We didn’t break anything,” said Elizabeth looking around.
“No, but I think you managed to ruin me ever being in this room without thinking about you two on the floor,” said Wyatt he sighed, and shook his head. He walked out of the study, then headed down a corridor. Elizabeth, Lucifer, and Xavier followed.
“What are we going to raid the kitchen?” asked Lucifer.
“Yes,” answered Wyatt. They walked into a big dining room. The walls were made of stone, a torch hung at each corner. The table was wooden, and round. On the side of the dining room was a small doorway leading into a kitchen.
The kitchen was small, and homely-looking. It was lit by three small candles. It smelled of wheat. In the back corner looking out of place was a new, stainless-steal refrigerator. Cabinets lined the walls. Lucifer, and Wyatt started looking through the cabinets, while Xavier went to the refrigerator. He faced Elizabeth with a bag of blood in his hands. Xavier reached into one of the cabinets for a straw.
“I swear to God, Wyatt. It’s about damn time for you to go to the store; we have no food,” complained Lucifer with his head in a lower cabinet.
“Xavier?” Wyatt looked over at him, he was leaning up against the refrigerator.
“What?” Xavier answered dreadfully.
“Will you be a dear, and order pizza?” Wyatt batted his eyelashes at him.
“Why? I’m not going to eat it,” complained Xavier.
“Now, please,” said Wyatt through his teeth.
“Fine, but you’re going to be buying me high-quality blood this week,” said Xavier.
“Alright,” agreed Wyatt. Xavier left the kitchen. Wyatt sighed, Elizabeth guessed it was a previous argument.
“Well, I believe- since we aren’t doing anything- now would be a good time for Xavier, and I to get to know you a little better,” said Lucifer walking from the cabinet to lean beside of her.
“Okay, let’s wait on Xavier to get back in here,” said Elizabeth dreading the question, and answer session already.
“Well, I’ll be in my study while you interrogate poor Elizabeth,” said Wyatt. His black clothes seemed to stick to him, like he was wet. He walked out of the kitchen.
Lucifer and Elizabeth walked into the dining room as Xavier was walking back in. Lucifer plopped down in one of the oak dining chairs, Xavier sat beside of him. Elizabeth sat across the table.
“What can we ask you, and what can’t we ask you?” Lucifer asked.
“Ask me anything you want,” answered Elizabeth.
“Where is your Mark?” asked Xavier. Elizabeth stretched out her left arm. They looked down at the angular pattern on her wrist.
“Why is the Mark arranged in cuts?” asked Xavier. He was quite curious.
“I’m a cutter, and the pattern happened to be found there,” she answered simply.
“Why do you cut?” asked Lucifer, taking more interest in the conversation.
“Why are you a pain in the ass?” Elizabeth had never like the question Lucifer had just presented her with. She became defensive with topics like this.
“You have a point,” Lucifer saw that she didn’t like the question, or maybe he lost interest.
“Do you have a boyfriend?” asked Xavier.
“No,” answered Elizabeth, trying not to blush. She had never got asked that much, so when she did she was extremely flattered.
“That’s rather peculiar, considering you’re so beautiful,” said Xavier looking at her thoughtfully. This just caused Elizabeth to blush, the only time she received complements like that is when her and Wyatt had been doing make-over’s.
“Well, most people- boys especially- shy away from me, because I am different, or they think Wyatt, and I are madly in love,” explained Elizabeth looking down, trying to hide her forever lasting flush.
“Really? That’s rather curious about you, and Wyatt considering he’s-” Xavier was interrupted by Wyatt’s shout.
“Pizza’s here!”
“Well, I suppose we will have to finish this conversation another time,” said Lucifer standing up.
“Yes, I suppose we will,” said Elizabeth.
“I swear to God, Lucifer. Instead of being such a damned bastard-” it sounded like Wyatt’s voice. She crept closer to the wooden door.
