when i write with a pen or something, it takes longer, and by the time i'm done one sentence, i've forgotten what i was going to say next, or how i was gunna word it or something.
also, your hand doesnt hurt afterwards.
(plus, spellcheck was God's little gift to me, so...)
My pencilled notebooks have all faded over time, which makes it very difficult to go back and read - come to think of it, my old writing on computer is largely inaccessible, since the disk formats aren't compatible!
plus I hold my pen wrong, so it hurts my hand after a while. Computer may be soul-less in some people's eyes, but it's better. Even if you can't see all the crossings-out and improvements and the heart and soul of a piece of writing.

And I love my messy handwriting.
and i agree with thima.
And Marissa, Spell Check is not your friend. You should get in a major fight and go your separate ways. As I've said before; it's called a dictionary folks.
i find it very easy to write on the computer! and the inspiration comes all alone....
but i still use the pencil mostly ...
The pencil lets me think and imagine!
I can also correct my mistakes!
Maybe I am just weird! And I also love ball point pens. The really inky whens that if you touch it write after it might smuge. I don't know it kinda reminds me of the old days. I also wanted to write with feathers and ink.....once again I am quite weird!
It depends because at school I mostly use sharpies because my writing is soo bold and cool then.
At home I use pencil to do my homework I take another piece of paper copy all the questions, then I do them. After that I do the work then write it in the book with a pen.
In my picture diary I use pencil then I go over it with a gel pen. That makes it verry cool.
When I pass notes in class I use my mechanical pencil because it smudges more and if I get caught my teacher won't be able to read my writing to be able to read it to the class.
It really depends because at my grandparent's place I write with a quill. It makes a huge mess, I love it!
Well... that's everything, so... yeah!
somehow, for me, my writing turns out better on paper first then on computer.
That reminds me, I need to go get a couple more notebooks since the two I have are almost full.
I have several notebooks that I write in (using pens), but I usually only write character developments, novel outlines and that kind of stuff.
