I can remember being fourteen in a Meijer grocery store and strolling down the "Movies" aisle, trying to ignore my family behind me because I was too cool for that. As I walked, something caught my eye. A name I had become all too familiar with spotting in the recent months since I had discovered it. "X-Men" was emblazoned across a DVD case with cartoon figures I recognized instantly. I couldn't believe it! I had only seen two episodes of this show from an old VHS my dad had collected. I was so excited about my discovery that I rushed back to my parents, the same ones I had been trying to avoid, and they bought me the DVD as a belated birthday gift.

It was the first volume of X-Men: The Animated Series, and would serve to fuel the obsessed fire burning through my veins. I remember after collecting each new volume in the coming year and a half that I would consistently be impressed, not just by what the DVD cases contained, but by the artwork on the front. It was beautiful and those images have come to mean a lot more to me than just pretty covers on the front of a cartoon.

This article is part of a series of articles for the 2017 X-Men Fanspot Guide. This one lists the fanspots for X-Men related couples and other pairs in the universe. To qualify for this list, at least one of the mentioned characters has to have been a noted member of the X-Men or an X-splinter team, family member, clone, or enemy of the X-Men.

The couples section is alphabetized by the first name of the woman in the pairing for straight couples, and the first name of the alphabetically first in a LGBT pairing. Currently, there are no spots for the latter, though it’s pending. The Character and Character and Character vs. Character lists are alphabetized by the name of the fanspot.

This is an updated list of the link for single characters related to X-Men. As in 2015, to qualify for this list, characters must have been an X-Man, a member of a splinter X-team, a family member, friend, clone, or enemy of the X-Men. The only two allies to qualify for this list due to their noted closeness are Deadpool and Captain Marvel.

The list is done in alphabetical order according to the character’s name, not codename or fanspot name, unless their real name isn’t known. Each name will have a link directly to their fanspot. Some spots have two fanspots attached. These characters are Henry McCoy, Remy LeBeau, and Victor Creed.

A little bit of background before we begin. For those who may not know, and without going into too much AvX detail, the Phoenix Five (which is going to be abbreviated as P5) was created for the Avengers vs. X-men crossover event a few years ago. The P5 consisted of Namor the Sub-mariner, Piotr Rasputin/Colossus, Illyana Rasputina/Magik, Emma Frost, and Scott Summers/Cyclops. The P5 was created by Iron Man splitting the Phoenix Force which then possessed them. One by one, they would start losing their control, and their portion of Phoenix, until only one would remain with the full force of Phoenix.

Despite the ridiculous nature of the P5, which is still the subject of much head shaking from many a fan of X, the costumes in particular were especially notorious. Today we will be counting down the P5 costumes from worst to best. Although the P5 originated in the comics, most of my images for the article are actually from the Marvel: Avengers Alliance game, as it is not only difficult to find decent images of these costumes in their entirety straight from the comics, but M:AA did a wonderful job creating these costumes in the game. Let's get started.

As the title says, this is a complete list of fanpop spots dedicated to members of the X-men. This is only for characters (not movies, cartoons, etc.) and they have to have been members of the X-men. However, the characters can be from comics, movies, cartoons, anime, etc.

The list is done in alphabetical order according to the character's name, not codename or fanspot name, unless their real name is not known. Each character name will have a link directly to their fanspot. Please feel free to check those out!

To qualify for this list, the character in question will have had to have been an X-men, a member of a splinter X-team (X-Factor, X-Force, etc.). a family member, friend, clone or enemy of the X-men. Allies of the X-men need to be noted for their closeness to the X-men. As of this date, the only allies that would qualify for this list would be Deadpool and Captain Marvel.

Remy LeBeau/Gambit has two fanspots, both attached to his name.

How did you find Fanpop?

There was a bunch of shit that went down with a group of friends both I and the user x-menobsessed26 were a part of, but when the dust settled and the few of us who were left became REALLY close. XO26 introduced me to this website over her shoulder and I would explore on her account, not doing anything or she would get mad. ;) About three days ago, I made my own.

Where are you from?

I was born in Chicago, but I moved to a small city in West Michigan when I four.

What schooling have you had?

All public school. I never went to college, but plan to once I get some funding built up.

What do you look like?

I have brown skin and brown hair and eyes that look so dark they almost appear black. For the last week, my hair has been in micro-braids, but before that, I had my hair long and natural.

What are your friends like?

This post is going to be a bit more of a rant than it probably should be, but it’s been weighing on my chest for the last few months since I saw the damned movie. I need to let it out. This is an OPINION piece. Just remember that.

X-men: Days of Future Past was a pretty good movie overall. There were parts I didn’t like, parts I liked, and parts I loved. I was truly impressed with it considering I had no hope going in to see it. My expectations were virtually nonexistent.

Like I said, the were parts of the movie I truly enjoyed. Many parts. I won’t go into specifics because I feel it’s unnecessary. However, there is one scene that I would like to go over in detail, more in theory, because of how much I disliked it.

That is the epilogue scene at the end of the movie.

Now, before that scene showed up, I was pumped. It had been a great movie and I was excited to go home and write a review article about it. Then the damned epilogue had to show up. That epilogue actually kept me from writing my review article because it spoiled the whole movie like a poison.

I will not be seeing the movie, "X-men : Days of Future Past", for a few weeks after its release date as per usual for me. Giving the theaters time to clear out and all that. However, when thinking about it, I realized that I was both extremely excited and nervous for this movie and I wondered why.

Potential. This movie has a lot of it and the fate of the rest of the series is riding on this movie. Let's review the series history for a second.

X-men - This movie started not only the X-men series, but also the boom of the superhero movie. It was a good movie, but it wasn't mind blowingly great. It was a fantastic starting point though, as proved by...

X2 : X-men United - At the very least, Singer understood what he was doing with the X-men he had. He knew the X-men were relecutantly willing to join Magneto on certain circumstances and he knew the Phoenix saga. He pulled off this sequel with less of a bang, more of a boom. The ending wasn't as much of a twist as it was emotional. It was a brilliant movie, which still left some wiggle room for a final installment.

I have decided to write this article because of the aproaching release of days of future past.

1. Xmen: Basically, this is when marvel is just introducing our favorite team to the big screen. It isn't all that bad but i still feel that they could've done better. Plot: wolverine and shadowcat are taken to charles's school for gifted youngsters(obviously mutants). There they meet charles xavier and his teachers: storm, jean grey, and cyclops. But not everything is as it seems. P. S., I AM NOT GIVING ANY SPOILERS!!!!!!

2. Xmen: (sorry, forgot the name of this one!) In this one, the nonmutants find out about the school and try to aprehend all of them for testing, but not before blowing their cover (thank god wolverine was there!) and deliberately getting their asses handed to them by the mutants themselves. I should mention to all you nightcrawler fans that everyone's favorite blue demon FINALLY makes his on-screen debut, but doesn't make an appearence in the third one. :(

How did you find Fanpop?

A couple years back I was looking up Disney Princess pictures for my dad’s, current girlfriend’s, youngest daughter (mouthful right?). I happened to click on one that led me to the Fanpop page for the princesses, and, after browsing the pictures, I decided to make an account for us. She lost interest easily (8-year-olds often do) but I didn’t and soon found the X-Men page. One of the best things I ever did.

Where are you from?

Northern California. Originally I lived in the Bay Are but now I live much further up north. It’s nice having different seasons, but not when you get locked out of your house at night in -2 weather.

What schooling have you had?

Public school essentially. I went to a charter school for high school so that I could attend college at the same time. I ended up getting out of high school a semester early and by May I should have my AA degree. I’m hoping to...

Credit to user Alycat4848 for posting an article with these questions asking all of us users. Enjoy the read (and write your own!!!! I like reading them too!)

How did you find Fanpop?

I was searching Google images for pictures of Jean Grey in January of 2011 and came across one which I didn't recognize and wanted to see a bigger image of. I clicked on it and was taken to the X-men Evolution spot on Fanpop and have been a member ever since.

Where are you from?

The west side of the lower penninsula of Michigan. I won't give the city name (though you can definitely find out if you're stalker enough. I'm not exactly hiding my information), but it's almost exactly halfway between Muskegon and Grand Rapids.

What schooling have you had?

I'm not quite sure what this question is asking, but let's just tackle it all, shall we? ;)

I went to a private Christian school until 8th grade at which time I switched to a public high school and now attend a private college because of the amount of money they gave me to attend. xD

Recently I saw a lot of “Getting to Know” articles in different clubs and the idea intrigued me. I thought that maybe I’d plant a seed in my favorite club and see if anything came of it (and I totally am not writing this to avoid working on my personal statement like the plague). So the basic idea is to introduce yourself and give some other information about yourself that might not come up otherwise in general conversation. It’s a very informal type thing but here I’m going to suggest some things that you might want to go over but you don’t have to. Just list anything you feel comfortable with sharing.

Here are some example articles if you wanted to look at them.

I love writing these articles and reading them. A personal Top X list I always find to be an interesting look at someone’s psyche. By looking at what someone likes and dislikes in a character, movie, or whatever you get a better sense of that person and when you personally write one of these lists it allows you to examine yourself. To dig up weird quirks you didn’t know you had and maybe even some things you don’t particularly like about yourself. Whatever you find I always think it’s good to have an idea of yourself and this is why I am writing this particular list. Not all of these entries have been official X-Men but they are all a part of the X-Universe so close enough. Because this is my Top 15 of all time (for a while at least) I have spent months (maybe a year at this point) writing this and moving people around all in the vain hope of making it perfect. So if you’ve made it through my babbling here are my top 15 X-Men: Part 1.

Director Bryan Singer recently took to Twitter to answer several fan questions about his upcoming film X-Men: Days of Future Past. He doesn't really go into any big detail on anything, but the first trailer is coming up! Here are the questions and his answers:

"Can you give us another hint at what we might see in the full trailer tomorrow?”
Singer: Tomorrow's trailer is primarily a character piece, as most of our VFX are not yet finished.

“How was it to bring the cast of the original X-Men and the cast of X-Men First Class together in the same Movie?”
Singer: Awesome, and slightly intimidating.

"Was it challenging working with such a big varying cast?"
Singer: I was real comfortable with the original cast and knew the cast as a writer/producer but not yet as a director. With the exception of @NicholasHoult of course -- but they were all fantastic and made the experience fun.

Hello fellow fans of X and welcome to yet another wonderful X-men countdown article. Normally, I try for the number 15 in my articles unless otherwise made impossible, but this time it is 5. The flip side companion of this article is also 5 and will be posted at a later date as will the comic counterparts. The subject of this article is something with which fans of X have become grossly familiar : death. I will be counting down in this article the top 5 best X-men movie death scenes.

Let me make clear that which is already obvious. This is my opinion, not yours. that being said, my opinion has an annoying habit of changing over time, evolving just like homo sapiens in the Earth-616 comic universe. At this moment, this is what my opinion stands as, but don’t be surprised if that changes at some point and I comment as much on other items on this website.

I would also like to point out that character bias has played no part in my decision making. I based my decision on the scenes themselves and the impact of emotion they had on me, myself, and I (and the other characters, as well). Some of these are probably expected, but I hope it’s not a...

BEWARE OF SPOILERS!!!!!

So, I just got back from seeing 'The Wolverine' (I know, I'm a late watcher), and I have to say, I was impressed, which is not something I thought would ever come out my mouth regarding an X-men related film.

However, I believe that is also part of it. It may be related to the X-men franchise, but it wasn't about the group. It followed the fan favorite. Hopefully, this combined with Days of Future Past gives fans an opportunity to get their fill of Logan and start moving on to other characters, since that's what the X-men are about. A group, not an individual.

Anyway, back to the film itself (this is my last warning, there are spoilers! Many of them! This whole damned review is a spoiler!), right from the opening I was hooked. I have always been fascinated by the bombings of Nagasaki and Hiroshima, so "watching" it happen was pretty cool. It also really gives you a glimpse into Logan's character in order to do something like what he did for Yashida.

Okay I finally finished it! If you have any other questions about it or want more details about a specific thing just ask because this nonsense is stupidly complicated.

(Messiah Complex)

Hope summers was born in Cooperstown Alaska to Captain Louise Spalding of the Cooperstown Fire Department. Hope was the first mutant born after M Day and this made her a target from the start. Cooperstown was attacked by the Purifiers (Stryker's old team of mutant haters) and the Marauders (Mr. Sinister's team) who both wished to capture the baby for different reasons. The Purifiers hoped that by killing the first mutant born since M Day they could make mutant kind go extinct and they even went so far as to kill all the children of Cooperstown. The Marauders were trying to capture her for an unnamed plan of Sinister's. Thankfully the first person to find Hope was Cable the time displaced son of Scott Summers and Jean Grey clone Madelyne Pryor (his history is a whole different 1000 word long post) who believed that she would bring about a golden age for mutants.

Instead of continuing with X-men : The Animated Series characters, I decided to just do more members of X-men from other series. The next is the X-men from X-men : Evolution.

It should be pointed out that four of these (Charles, Logan, Ororo, and Hank) are considered instructors, not true X-men for some strange reason. However, to get an even 10 (hello multiples of 10) , I added those four onto the main teenage six.

I am not responsible for any spoilers you may run into while reading this article. Read with caution. Enter at your own risk.

---

#10 - Charles Xavier (Professor X)

Probably not that big of a surprise that Charles is the last on this list, but really, what did he do? He used Cerebro to find mutants, flew the Blackbird a few times, nearly got killed all the time, and lied to his students. Oh, and he helped stop the Juggernaut's escape once.
I understand his intentions, which are usually for the best, but still. He's a bit of an annoying character in that his only real roles are as instructor and father/brother figure. Even though the X-men are his, he kinda sucks...

I have no drive to do any fanfiction writing right now, so I decided to instead use that time to write another countdown article. My sister and I as a tradition will watch X-men : The Animated Series together over the summer, and we started that today. I received my inspiration for this countdown for that, and in the first of what will become a series of X-men : TAS countdowns, I am first counting down my top 10 favorite X-men from X-men : The Animated Series.

I am only going to ask that you keep your comments mildly civil. I am surely going to say some things you won't agree with, and I am more than willing to here your own list and reasons, but I don't appreciate serious flaming attacks against my own just because they're different or you don't agree with my reasoning. Telling me you don't agree is one thing, but a nuclear bomb of hate is another.

#10 - Kevin Sidney (Morph)

Now, I wasn't going to include him on this list, but I did for two reasons. 1.) Without him, that leaves only 9 X-men, which would be your title X-men, and I like countdowns which end in multiples of 5 and reason 2.) He is still technically a member...

I usually have no idea how to start these articles off without sounding foolish or ... foolish, so I'm just going to get that out of the way right now and tell you to expect this article to sound foolish. With that taken care of, my reasoning for doing this is my current obsession with countdowns. I don't know if it's just me, but I freaking ADORE countdowns. Unfortunately, they always leave me with this awkward need to make my own, so here I am.

In case you didn't notice before, this article is about my top 15 favorite X-men villains IN THE COMICS. I'm going to tell you right off the bat that this list may not be COMPLETELY accurate. What I mean by that is I'll usually get stuck between a few every now and again trying to place them, work on it for about an hour, and get frustrated just to set them into a random order, hoping it works out just right (even though there isn't usually much of a difference from #14 to #13 or #9 to #8 if you know what I mean).
