“ She will never be harmed as long as I am alive.” Aden snarled.
Joel smirked and relaxed, leaning back against the railing. Aden straightened as well, still keeping Glory behind him. Apparently Aden had some trust issues with Joel.
“ What was it you were going to say, Joel?” Glory finally found her voice.
Joel looked her up and down lazily, his eyes pausing longer at some spots than others. Aden hissed.
“ Oh that can wait until later.” Joel finally added. He straightened and walked towards her. Aden had no choice but to move aside.
Joel took one of Glory’s hands and pressed a kiss to her palm. Glory could feel his two teeth start to lengthen against her skin. Aden jerked her hand away from Joel, keeping it firmly encased in his own.
“ She’s not yours yet, Aden.” Joel growled.
“ She’s not untouchable.”
“ You keep your hands off of her.” Aden snapped.
“ You know there’s only one thing that will allow you to truly call her your own. You must-”
“ I know what has to happen!” Aden cut him off.
Glory looked back and forth between them like watching a tennis match.
“ What has to happen?” Glory inserted.
“ You must share blood. More specifically let him drink from you.” Joel managed to say, right before Aden slammed him against the outside of the cabin.
Glory stood there, rooted to the spot with surprise.
“ You have opened your mouth one too many times.” Aden said, his voice low and dangerous.
Joel still had the nerve to grin, even with Aden’s hand around his throat, up against a wall.
“ Have I? I just thought she should know what she was getting in to.”
“ I wouldn’t force it from her, if that’s what you were thinking.” Aden leaned closer, and Joel flinched.
“ No, I take that back. I know that’s what you were thinking…You were just waiting to catch her alone weren’t you? So you could steal a little sip from her to claim her so i cant have her, right?” Aden growled, his voice getting lower and lower. He slammed Joel up against the wall once, and then again.
“ Don’t do something you will regret.” Joel warned quietly.
“ You’re right. Not here, in front of her. You got lucky.” Aden released him and stepped back, letting him slump back against the wall.
Joel moved so fast, he was gone before Glory could blink.
Glory stared at Aden, with her mouth slightly open.
“ Drink from me?” She murmured.
Aden sighed and tilted his head.
“ Won’t that kill me?” Glory asking gasping as Aden moved closer, cupping her face with both of his hands.
“ Of course not.” Aden answered, and tilted up her chin, exposing her neck.
“ Turn me into a vampire?”
“ No. Not unless we both exchange enough blood. I have heard it is quite pleasurable experience for humans when bitten.” He grinned at her mischievously.
“ I can demonstrate if you would like.” His mouth dipped lower toward her neck and Glory felt her head spin.
