A steady beeping was heard throughout the Bat-Cave as Red Hood’s eyes fluttered open. They put a hand to their hand with a groan.
“Master Todd, may I suggest you stay still” Alfred suggested
“W-who are you?” Red Hood mumbled
“You really do not remember me, Master Todd?” Alfred asked, confused
“I-no. No I don’t” Red Hood shook their head.
“Well, just lie down and relax as I get this blasted helmet off” Alfred said, reaching for Red’s helmet.
“Wait. It’ll electrocute you if you try to take it off me” Red groaned, reaching behind their head and pressed a button which released the helmet off their head. Ebony hair cascaded down the young lady’s shoulders.
“You’re not Master T…If you’ll excuse me for a moment” Alfred hurried off to Bruce.
“It is not Jason. It is in fact a young lady” Alfred explained
“But-how is that possible. The blood-“ a scream was heard. Both Bruce and Alfred ran to the young, injured lady on the table, who had two guns point-blank at Nightwing.
“What happened?” Bruce demanded
“I may have startled her” Dick admitted
“Startled?! You scared the freaking crap out of me!” she exclaimed, then held her chest.
“Easy now. Joker broke almost your whole ribcage, not to mention bruised your left lung and left you with several deep, infected slashes” Bruce said, resting a hand on her shoulder. She fell back onto the bed. Barbara and Tim rushed in.
“What did you do now, Nightwing?” Barbara asked, hands resting on her hips.
“I love how you always assume I did something” Dick rolled his hidden eyes.
“So, anyone wanna tell me where I am and why Joker tried to kill me?” the girl demanded
“He thought you were the original Red Hood, so he therefore tried to kill you. And you’re in the Bat-Cave” Bruce explained. The girl wandered over to a glass tube holding the perfectly preserved suit of a Robin.
“That belonged to Jason” Bruce said, coming up behind her.
“Who exactly are you?” Nightwing asked.
“I’m…gone” The girl lifted both her pistols, shooting at the Bat-Family as she retreated to the motorcycle Alfred had tested earlier. She jumped on, still shooting with one hand, the other starting the cycle before zooming off and pulling on her helmet. The one advantage of being an anti-hero: you can shoot at all the other heroes you want. You can also steal their rides.
