He kept his head down as he wove his way into the city. His eyes swept over the faces around him. He could sense their emotions. See through their defenses. Their fears were things he could see. He closed his eyes for a brief second. Then headed down an alleyway. He was thankful to not be noticed. He headed to a side door and down several flights of stairs. He knocked on the door. A hatch slid open, revealing piercing green eyes.
“Oh god,” Terror muttered.
“What's the password?”
“Robin-”
“Nope.”
“Robin you-”
“Not even close!”
“How about this? Robin open this damn door before I stick my sword up your god-forsaken ass!”
Their was loud laughter from the other side as the hatch closed. He heard a click and then the door swung open.
“Welcome good sir!” The one called Robin said with a deep bow.
“You dick.”
“Oh come on! It was fun!”
“I'm coming in.”
“Fine. I'll get Miles to take your order.”
“Why the heck does Damo keep you around?” Terror asked as he made his way into the underground cafe.
“Cause I'm charming.”
Terror scoffed and sat in a back corner table. Robin went off to fetch the owner and fetch Miles. Then he came back, red hair as tousled as before. Soon, Damo came out and joined them. A girl of fourteen with coconut colored skin, warm hazel eyes, and short cream hair came over, carrying a pad and a pen. The name card on her shirt read Miles
“What can I get for you guys today?” she asked with a cheerful smile.
“Hey Miles. Just get us two candy melts,” Damo said.
“And the dark brood will take a dark cream,” Robin piped up.
Terror shot him a glare.
“Stuff it Goodfellow! Or I'll hang your head on my door!”
Damo sighed and waved the waitress away.
“Lighten up Ter!”
“I said shut up!”
“Guys!” Damo interjected. “Stop. The other guests will feed off the energy. Now, what can I do for you Terror?”
The blonde boy sighed heavily, though it came out sounding like a growl.
“I need a seal, Damo.”
Both of his companions turned serious. Miles came back with their order then went away. Terror gripped the handle of his cup, hearing several cracks as the glass broke.
“Terror, what's going on?”
“Too much. I can't explain it all. I just need your help.”
“Tell me what you can.”
Terror shook his head, shaking out the voice that had started to whisper.
“Not here.”
Damo nodded and pulled a few bills to cover the tab. Miles came over as summoned and Damo gave her a few instructions. She nodded, taking the now broken glass from Terror. The others grabbed their drinks and headed to the back. Terror sat for a minute before getting up and going into the back room; Damo's private chambers.
“Lock the door, Robin. Terror, take a seat.”
Damo moved into a separate room and came back with jar and black bag.
“Shirt off.”
Terror removed the trench coat and then the black tee he wore.
“Why do I have to take it off again?”
“Because Damo's a perv,” Robin muttered.
“No. Because I need to see the seal take form.”
“I feel like a stripper.”
Robin laughed and slipped his own shirt off.
“There! Now you aren't alone.”
They looked at Damo expectantly, who rolled his eyes before cooperating.
“You're both idiots,” he muttered.
Robin gave him a smirk.
“Okay Damo. Do the seal.”
The boy nodded.
“Robin, I'll need you to-”
“Yeah yeah I know! Now. Let's make a seal!”
“Oh god,” Terror muttered.
