The radio played music as I sat in comfortable silence, reading. But then a song came on that just hit me. The song was...it was how I wish Blade felt about Terror. He was my best friend and he was gone. I put my book down, listening. The words hurt me, the meaning felt so insane, and the song became personal. Seriously? I miss your blue eyes, the way we kissed at night. That was Terror. And then the chorus. I miss everything about you. And then there was a line about never telling him how she felt and she should have. It was Terror and it wasn't Blade singing. I think I was thinking to long because one of my teammates came in.
“Erin? You okay?”
I looked up at Kate. The archer of our team.
“Yeah. Just...thinking.”
She nodded and continued on her way. I brought the book back up, but I wasn't reading. I was still thinking about that song. Then came another song. My heart is breaking in front of me. She said goodbye too many times before. Why were there so many songs that could describe them? It honestly was like Romeo and Juliet. No matter what they felt, they couldn't have each other. And one had been forced to leave. I was starting to get close to tears. The thought of everything that had gone on in their relationship...it was heartbreaking. She had said she started falling for Bloodmist when Terror had left the very first time. But he'd gone to get her a flower. A very special one. Yet he'd been...betrayed is the only word I know how to describe it. My best friend had gone searching the world for her and she'd hurt him. I loved Blade, don't get me wrong. But things were messed up at Mt. Justice. Which is why I had left and become a Young Avenger.
And since when did they let a thief into the mountain whenever he wanted?! I get the whole Robin Hood thing, but it was still stealing. No matter what, it was stealing. And it wasn't like the Injustice League or whatever was president. So why were we- they-letting a thieving criminal there? I was starting to doubt everything they said they stood for. No one lets someone get away with stealing. Even if it is for the greater good. That's when you start crossing lines and letting things slip. Next you know, Joker was going to be let off for killing a powerful criminal because he was “helping the greater good”! I needed to talk to this team of theirs! Because they were seriously getting into trouble! And Red X knew too well about those lines. So it was time for the girl behind the mask to let out a little warning. Young Justice, you are in over your head in trouble!!!

Sam and Becca looked at each other. They had hoped to get farther than this, at least to the base, but it seemed Jazzman wasn't as stupid as they had thought.
