Tears ran down her cheeks. Robin comforted her rubbing her back.
"It can't be!" Zatanna replied over and over. "It can't be!"
"Shhh. He could be a clone like Superboy or..." Robin didn't dare to continue.
"Or what? He turned evil? Or he was just gathering info and waiting for the right time to jump at us?!" she burst into more tears. Artemis walked by and saw the teens on the bed. She skipped inside onto the bed.
"Should I ask?" she whispered to Robin who was hugging her. He lent towards her.
"Zatara is the one who made us like....this" he replied as low as possible so Zatanna couldn't hear. Artemis was surprised and turned her head away to think.
"I remember..." she finally said breaking up the silence.
"Remember what?" Zatanna replied her eyes watery and red.
"Zatara asked me this morning to help him with a magic trick. I was his assistant. It was for a kids birthday so I agreed to do it. We went to the beach and practiced to make me disappear and make me float. After an 1hr of magic we had a break. I left him at the beach to get lunch and when I came back..." she turned her head in another direction. "Icicle Jr froze him in ice" Zatanna burst into tears again. "I'm so sorry Zatanna. But there's more." she took a deep breath and continued. "Icicle Jr forced me to date him so that's why I'm dating him. If I didn't he would destroy Zatara for good"
"Why didn't you tell us?!" Robin responded. Artemis sighed and whispered...
"I'm sorry" a tear ran down her cheek. The others looked confused.
"What?" Zatanna asked.
"Shes a real beauty isn't she?"
A icy cold teenager revealed behind Artemis. He held her head with a sharp ice cold blade at her neck.
"Icicle Jr!" Robin murmured. He reach for a Batarang.
"Eek!" Robin turned around to see Zatanna in the arms of Klarion.
"Let her go!" Robin snapped in his squeaky little voice. The villains laughed.
"What are you going to do Boy Blunder? You see your small and we are tall" Klarion boasted.
"Heh yeah! Whatcha gonna do kid?" Icicle Jr added.
"I my be small but I'm still the boy wonder!" he leaped for Icicle Jr. He pinned him with his batarang. He staggered backwards.
"You little brat!" he screamed.
"I'm really sorry" Artemis repeated.
"We'll talk later!" Robin dived for Klarion. Then an icy weight bought his legs down onto the floor. Icicle Jr, batarang still in his arm, covered Robin in ice.
"Robin!" Zatanna sobbed. She tried her magic but Icicle Jr froze her mouth shut before she could talk. Then Klarion put his head on her shoulder.
"I thought you loved me..." he whispered. "No matter what!" he growled. "Is it so hard to find the one with the one being a hero and the other a villain?! I had to find out all about you. You liked Ryan, so I took his body just to go out with you. I had to deal with all his guts."
"That's sick" Artemis started.
"Is it that I'm Klarion!? A witch boy? That you wouldn't go out with me anymore?! Is it?" he spat.
"Uh yeah? I mean look at you" Artemis stated.
"SHUT HER UP!" Klarion stormed that made everyone jump.
"What do I do?" Icicle Jr asked.
"Freeze her mouth" Klarion added. Jr did as told. Klarion used his magic to unfreeze Zatanna's mouth.
"Klarion..." Zatanna finally said. "You were a great Ryan but lying was just dumb"
"Y-you really think I was a good actor?" he mumbled. He smiled crookedly.
"Yeah. If I didn't see your true form I would probably still go out with you but now that I know it will never happen again" Klarion faded into a frown. An angry one.
"Its him. That's the one in my way!" Klarion stared at Robin. "No more boy wonder..." he raised his arm.
"NO!!!" Zatanna cried. Then a piercing ice spear stabbed into Klarion.
"AGH!" he turned around to see Artemis, her mouth unfrozen and Jr his arm out to shoot more spears. "What the hell are YOU doing!?" he stammered.
"Dude not cool. Zatanna is never gonna be with you man if you kill the love of her life. Trust me, brain washing her won't feel right"
"Your right" replied Klarion. "But that doesn't mean I can hurt you!" he threw fire at him. Jr swiftly dodged it and shot another spear. It missed Klarion.
"Ha missed!" he laughed.
"He wasn't aiming for you" Artemis pointed behind him.
"Lights out" Robin shocked him with electric batarangs. He passed out on the ground. Everyone knew it was over.
"Wow that was epic" Robin said. Zatanna hugged him. Robin didn't hug back but replied...
"You dated Klarion?"
"Its a long story" Artemis responded. Then a black caped man entered the room.
"Is it done?" Robin nodded.
"Yep. Megan you can change back now." he turned to Icicle Jr who stood beside Artemis. He laughed and walked out.
"Wait did you know Klarion was coming?" Zatanna asked. Bats nodded.
"Yes. He was the cause of you to end up like...kids"
"But why aren't we back to normal?" Artemis asked.
"Because this spell slowly wears off" Zatara entered the room.
"Dad!" Zatanna hugged him tightly. "I'm so happy your not evil!" Zatara had a sad look on his face.
"Why didn't you tell me about Klarion?" Zatanna sighed.
"I didn't want to think about it back then." Zatara nodded and kissed the top of her head. Then Megan burst into the room panting.
"Am I late!? Oh I was baking cookies and I forgot about the Icicle Jr thing! I'm so sorry!" everyone was puzzled. Even Batman!
"You just did it then" Robin replied.

"Haha real funny Megan!" Zatanna faked laughed.
"No really I didn't do it!" her voice was definitely desperate.
"Then if she was baking cookies, then..." Robin stopped.

"I really don't remember turning into Icicle Jr!" she chased after the young, very young teenagers.
