**I do not own any of the characters in the story beside Mercy, Heather, and Colin**

I REALLY didn't want to deal with this. Not right now, at least. I glanced over at Colin, the panic starting to return to his face. "Colin, go. I just be a few minutes." I tried smiling reassuringly. He gave a weak nod and quickly disappeared in a cloud of blue smoke. I looked down, "You guys are going to kick my butt, aren't you?" I mumbled out. "Maybe later," Blade smirked. "But for now we just want to talk." Nightwing interrupted. "Yeah? Well I don't." I frowned, trying to over up what I was really thinking. I didn't want want to tell them that I was sorry, I want going to stop, but I was sorry. I couldn't though, I couldn't let them get to me.
"Merc, why? You were a part of this team, you had no reason to leave!" Aisling tried to ask. I put up a hand to stop her, and looked at the ground, chuckling the slightest bit. I sighed, maybe I should just tell them? Get a few things off my chest, "You think I had no reason to leave?" I whispered softly, beginning to look up with teary eyes. "I had EVERY reason to. Phoebe, Fin, Tula, Kaldur... You guys didn't do anything!" the tone...

Yes, I realize a couple of these characters don't fit into the current timeline, but they DO fit my plot pretty well.
P.S. I only own SilverWings (Aryess), Ruse (Jasper/Jazz), Blaze (Nic), and Thirteen (Alek). The others belong to DC and the magnificent others of this fan page.
P.S.S. Yeah, I probably screwed up the bat-brats. Included a few wrongs kids, descluded a few others. I apologize.

Proven part VIII

The boys met me at the foot of the stairs. While I had been gone, they had begun to mingle with the other guests, but admitted that nothing of interest had come up.
"The Key? You said you know were it is?" Alek said eagerly.
"Shhhhhh."
'Sorry,' Alek apologized mentally.
'Rookie,' Nic smirked.
'I know who has it,' I confirmed. 'Black mask with gold trimming. Tall, heavy built, blonde hair.'
'That's it?' Nic said.
'It was dark,' I said defensively. 'And I was busy trying not to be seen by him or his partner.'

Remember when I posted asking for 10 comments in 2 hours? That's how I picked the lineup for this. I couldn't decide who to put into it, so that was my strategy.

A team is a whole, parts of differences, secrets, and love.
Of brothers and sisters, two wings on a single dove.
There's the new gal, a sweet little kitten,
A crazy fireball, the brightest spirit, always sizzlin'.
The sharp shooter, aiming straight,
The mysterious goddess, rising against fate.
A wise lass, green thumbs for knowledge,
A sisterly leader, keeping an order all must acknowledge.
And one with a broken heart, yet the biggest one.
All a team, all a family. One in the same. True for all that come.

Can you guess who is which?

P.S. 66Dragons helped with this!

"Rene, you are going to be late for training," said Megan. Crap. Quickly, I put on my favorite outfit; long sleeve purple shirt with a black mini skirt and yellow leggings, and of course, my long black boots. I ran a comb through her thick red hair, ran to the kitchen and grabed a pop tart. This will have to do. Can't be late on the first day. I shoved the pop tart down my throat as I sprinted to training.
"Oh good, you made it. I thought I would have to go and get you," Megan said. I found a perfect spot where I could practice my spells and study. It all went well, until Kaldur's girlfriend Mercy came over to me.
"Hey Rene, guess what?" she asked.
"What is it Mercy, i'm kind of busy here,"
"I invented a new way to make tea," she said proudly. Mercy, she always did the most random things What do I say so I won't hurt her feelings or make it seem like I don't care. Hhhhmmmm.

( Gotham City 9:43 PM ,National Bank)

A car pulled up with its blue and red sirons flashing into the night, he hid himself in the shadows behind a wall peering his head slightly to see what was going on, he ducked his head back behind the wall as a flashlight shone over there, he knew it didnt mean anything he had done this many times before and never yet had been caught, he kept thinking to himself should i just turn myself in? should i just let them see who i really am?, he snapped his thoughts back to reality and talked to himself in his head recalling the reasons it was best to stay like this. He readjusted his mask with his free hand and two smoke bombs shot out of his wrist compartment into his hands, he threw the smoke bombs down to the ground and disappeared when the smoke had cleared. A policeman shouted out " i think hes over here!! " to another police man who ran over to see nothing but clearing smoke and a card on the ground, both held their flashlights and one picked up the card reading it " catch me if you can....." the card said, both policemen looked at eachother as the full moon shone in the night sky among the stars around it.

“This is so stupid....” Fang muttered pulling at his clothes. The others in the room muttered in agreement. Sighing Delta pulled her red hood up. Willow tries to mess her hair up further. Artemis glared down at her dress as if she wanted to slice it to pieces, which was very likely. Lucas was in a similar predicament.
“Why am I a villain?!” Becca muttered placing the heavy cloak on over the glamorous clothing. Blade was glaring murderously at everyone in the area, only causing Fang and Delta to laugh quietly at her predicament.
“Trust me Bec, I would rather be The Witch then Rapunzel,” Blade said the name as if it was poison in her mouth. Delta cleared her throat and kneeled in front of Blade snickering
“Rapunzel, Rapunzel, let down your hair!” Delta said in a deep voice, causing the room to snicker.
“Shut up, Red,” Blade said wanting to punch Delta at this point, or anyone for that matter. Delta maturely stuck out her tongue. And to get hit on the back of by Terror(I’m gonna make them together in this fanfic, I don’t think they are but just for now)

It tore at her.. the pain.. the hurt.. the betrayal. She knew.. she knew all she did was wrong or flawed in every way. She loved her team, they were her only family, how could she not. She wished she could just come out and say it.. say "I. Am. A. Traitor"
She glanced over and noticed the blood dripping from her wrists.. she didnt care though.. she ignored the pain. Actually she was content with it, it was like a friend that hated her but loved her all at once.
The dark maroon blood hit the ground and she grabbed one of the razors on her dresser, she looked over it and suddenly was over-whelmed with guilt and anger and just sliced through her flesh.
Gashes were left.. embeded in her skin.. like little narrow rivers of red. Tears streamed down her face and she just let them soak her top.. Her door creaked and she shoved her bleeding arms under her blanket, it was Phoebe.
"Yes?" Blade said.
"Blade, something wrong?" Phoebe replied in a gentle tone.

I could hear the sounds of a fight from my room. The thick wood door was closed. Which meant I was missing out. But damn it all Sam had hurt me. I was starting to respect him and he had hurt me! I was very tempted to go out there and kill someone. But those flirtatious perverts wouldn't stop even if I did! So I stayed hidden in my room.
“Becky, report!”
Oooo. I wanted to rip his throat to shreds for calling me that. But that would jeopardize the entire mission. Not okay. Bats would tear me to shred. I answered with the communicator.
“Mission successful. Two-Face got what he wanted.”
“Thank you Becky.”
He was pushing it. I let go of the communicator and checked my ankle. The swelling had gone down thanks to my serum. It would be a few days before I could do much though. I thought about telling Jazzman about my ankle. Images of him and the other perverts coming into my room swam in my mind. Then again, I could adapt to working with it sprained. No one was coming into my room. I sighed and looked around for something to do. If only they had an electric guitar...no. That would attract even more attention. I groaned.

I've stayed awake at night for the past three weeks. Ever since she moved on. The darkness covers me and seems to whisper words. The past three weeks have been torture for me. I know she's here. Always know. She and I stay in the same place. She's just a few doors down. It would be easy for me to go to her. But two things stop me. She doesn't want me. I've never done things the easy way. People have always called me a monster. I thought she had seen different. But she didn't. She was just taken in by my words, the truth. So it's my fault really. I shouldn't have let my guard down. I shouldn't have let her in. I never should have let them come close. Just like the others, they don't really give a care. Team is a word they don't understand. To live or die is a team. Not a single one reached out to me when I came. But I would die for them. For her. My heart starts to scream the more I think. So it's then when I slip out of bed. I dress and slip my trench coat on. If I stay here anymore, I might just die. I head to the one place that's safe, the one place where I am accepted, along with half a million other freaks. Damo's club. The team doesn't know Damo. Only I do. And Becca, Erin,...

Becca approached him from behind, never making a sound. She wasn't too keen on talking to him, much less being anywhere near him. He was a fool, someone she would ignore. But he had crossed the line. He had hit a nerve inside her and she needed to be heard, loud and clear.
“Bloodmist.”
He turned his head slightly. He turned back to looking at the bank when he saw who it was. She knew he was upset. He had been hurt in battle, but Becca had wanted him out of the mountain. There were very few she turned away from. But this guy she did. In front of everyone.
“I get that you don't like me. I understand.”
Becca came to stand by him, despite how much she hated it.
“Good. Glad you understand,” she said.
“I'll just disappear. I'll leave again. I do it all the time...”
“Shut up. I came to make one thing clear to you. I don't hate you. But I don't like you either. You flirted despite Blade being in a relationship. She hurt my friend. You killed Terror's heart. Normally, I'd be furious and killing you right now. But Terror doesn't hate you. So neither do I. But Terror doesn't want anything to do with you.”

“Belle?”
I rested alone in my room, watching the snow fall outside my window. My mom came in, her perfect blonde hair lying carefully on her shoulders. She wore her leather jacket like she usually did on her work days. Like she did nearly every day. “I’m going now. Are you sure you don’t want to come meet them?”
“Positive. I’m not a hero. Don’t belong there.”
She nodded and shut my door. I watched her in the snow, trudging up to a blonde man, together they went to where I knew their ‘Team’ would be waiting.
Once they were gone, I relaxed even further into my bed. It bugged me how persistent Mom was on me meeting those other teens. She only wanted me to have what was best. Or did she want me controlling my powers? In retrospect this idea was kind of ironic, because of her own powers. She was really loud.
I created complete silence.
I suppose it wouldn’t hurt to meet them. I knew one of them already. But it was too late to go with my mom, who was long gone. I looked up and smiled. I guess I could say hi real quick to some old friends...

Chapter Twenty-

It had been a week since Holly had been detained, and still nothing had happened. No Shadows, no threats. Sam was beginning to think Holly was wrong.

Until the meeting on the tower.

Sam was supposed to meet a stock broker for his mother at the top of Grant Tower. For whatever reason, she hadn't felt the need to explain that in the note.

So that's where Sam was Tuesday morning. Waiting for a stock broker and suspecting Holly would escape while he was gone. So far he had managed to arrive before she woke up and would leave after she was asleep. Not today.

"Mr. Grant?"

Sam turned to see a tall, buff man in a white undershirt and khakis. A little underdressed and definitely NOT the nerdy stock broker he was expecting.

"Yes. I presume you are Mr. Waling?"

"Yes, Im here to relieve your mother of some trouble."

Sam raised an eyebrow. "I was under the impression you were here to give us some information on arch-rival's stocks."

Chapter 19-

Revenge stumbled away. The woman looked at the needle in her hand. The blood within was mixed with a strange brown mixture. Revenge gripped his arm and glared at the woman.

"A simple test will tell me who is beneath the mask, Red Revenge. And your secret will belong to me."

"Not likely." Revenge growled.

"Oh, but that's not all it does." she continued. "It poisons the blood stream. Corrupts the DNA within cells and eventually kills them."

"Nerve gas."

"In a liquid form, yes Red Revenge."

Artemis crashed through the roof, firing four arrows. One at the vial in the woman's hand, which shattered. Three at her, pinning the villainess to the wall.

"C'mon." Artemis said, helping Revenge out of the building. He was so weak, he didn't even argue as the archer helped him. Revenge collapsed on his motorcycle.

"Home." Revenge gasped. His bike turned on and strapped his arms and legs to the bike before speeding off.

This may not fallow the plot that BelovedRobin has set up in Missing In Action
Who agrees that Amara's song is Wish you were here by Avril Lavigne

Amara had more important things to do. Like reason with her daughter. Or find her mate. Or bother the Justice League or Young Justice. Or just piss nightwing and the bat off. That was always fun to. In fact messing up Gothem in a obvious way but not letting them catch her was just plan fun. Batman hated being played with. Maybe thats why he hated Charm so much.

But an hour trying to reason with her daughter that she was NOT cheating on Charm was futile the girl did everything. She yelled from behind a door, she back talked her when she was around (and Amara would never hit her daughter), and played her music so loud that Amara had to leave their apartment. And now she was listening to Charm's cartel men talk about profits and problem that she didn't care about. She idly twisted the ring around her finger.

**this takes place after the 5 year skip... I don't own any of the OC's mentioned in this beside Mercy, Colin, And Heather**

To recap, after 3 years that me and my boyfriend had faked our own deaths to pursue a life of crime, my old team had caught us in the act. And may I repeat, we were screwed. All of them, my past friends, the ones I betrayed. Maybe they didn't recognize me. Wait! Something wasn't right, 8 of them were missing. I had counted and counted again. There were only 7 of them in here. Maybe they finally realized what they were missing? I didn't care, with a panicked expression I quickly glanced at Colin, who had the same expression as me. What was I going to do? Trying not to be seen, my hand carefully crept to a small button located in the back of my utility belt and pressed it. Heather wouldn't  be able to get here fast enough, though. I faked a surprised face, and then smiled. "Guys! Long time no see!" I put my arms out like I was expecting a hug. Colin, being the horrible actor he was, just gave a nervous chuckle and waved.  Robin just frowned, "What are you doing here, Mercy?" I gave out a small nervous laugh, "Admiring the jewelry?" I gave a small...

I dreamed, clutching tightly to a soft blanket. I had since moved from my little hutch in the clearing, and gone into the mountain. No one went into her room, not even Jessica. Some people wouldn’t believe she was dead-- Mercy continuously argued with everyone who knew she really was. Jessica and I knew. She wasn’t coming back. And I had since received her full powers. I was the new number three firecaster on the team.
I hated it. This wasn’t me.
Tonight I shifted restlessly on the mattress, nightmares plaguing my sleep. Most were about her, how she died, Chelsea delivering the final blow that killed her. These weren’t very unusual. But tonight I did have one I’d never had before.

[i]A young teen girl, maybe 13 years, perched on a dining room table. Barefoot, her legs swung back and forth underneath the wooden support. She wore a loose, light pink tank top and white jean shorts that frayed on the edges. On her thin, tan arms were gold bangles, softly clinking with her every breath. Her sleek ebony hair reached to her waist. It fell carelessly into her face and barely covered her bright sapphire eyes. She gave me a small, warm smile. It suddenly...

his tight black boots landed on the ground infront of a chair, " master ive brought news about the missing 3...." he said, the chair turned and a man with a red hood leaving a shadow covering his face turned around looking at him, " where are they......" his deep voice said, " Santa Prisca sir..." he said, the man chuckled to himself pullling off his hood revealing a burned face and hazel eyes, " bring them to me..... dead.... or alive..." he said, " yes father " the boy said with his red millitary cut hair and green eyes glimmering. the boy left the room with his red bow and black quiver over his shoulder leaving the man alone in his computer room. He turned his chair back around to his computers looking at three screens with pictures of people on them, one with Bloodmist, the other with Terrance, and the last with Tara. " 5 years children....... lets see what youve been doing all this time......and lets see if you can survive..." he chuckled evily looking at the three pictures with his hazel eyes that had the reflection of a burning fire in them.

I tried to look as if I was enjoying myself, but it was difficult to do in my ever growing frustration. Jasper kept our team mentally linked so that we could communicate even when separated. I payed attention to every detail of the guests: their movements, their conversations, their body language. It was a tedious task with so many people there. Nearly 200 I believe.
'Is it possible that the Key isn't here?' Jasper asked after nearly two hours of no leads.
'Not likely, Ruse,' Nic assured, 'my sources are rock solid. They couldn't have gotten something like this wrong.'
'The party's half over,' Alek reminded us, sounding as frustrated as myself.
'I need some air,' I dismissed myself. The others acknowledged my leave, but thankfully didn't insist on coming with me.
I reached the top of the staircase and made my way down one of the many halls. One led past a brigade of closed doors to a balcony. I stepped into the open air, breathing its freshness. A breeze blew threw the night, brushing my bare arms.

Previously on The Red Revenge...

Okay, so things didn't go well in Rio De Janeiro. Batman, and the rest of the Justice League are reaming our butts for the death of the Russian finalist.

As if we didn't feel bad enough for the loss of one life, World War III is about to be on our heads.

"I need your help." Revenge said.

"No." Batgirl replied.

"See ya." Revenge said, closing the door.

The knob to the room began to turn.

"Wait!" Batgirl exclaimed, leaping into the corridor as the iron door closed and the other door opened.

Revenge stopped cold in the next room. It was a balcony overlooking an empty hangar with the letters USSR stamped on the wall. The Soviet flag flew high.

Revenge and Barbara turned to leave, but the door opened to reveal the Russian President with a gun aimed at their faces.

"Nightwing?"

"Report Wondergirl."

Wayne Manor was huge. At least, the mansion was. People dressed for the occasion, either carrying or wearing various masks, streamed into the front door. Most wore dark colors, as Nic and I did, while others wore vibrant pigments, leaving rainbows in their paths.
Nic and I followed the river of people through the mansion. We exited the hallways onto a balcony.
Two curved staircases led down to the dance floor. There people mingled, holding glasses of champaign and various wines. A few held plates of finger-foods and other hors d'oeuvres. The constant chatter and clicking of heels blended to a steady rhythm, one that reach up the high, arched cieling, where a shining chandelier hung. The resulting image looked like something out fairytale-'Cinderella' or 'Beauty and the Beast'. No one noticed as the masked young girl and her partner descend the staircase
Scanning the crowd, I saw a man near one of the floor-to-ceiling-windows surrounded by a large group of people. Though his face was half-covered by a plain, black mask, I knew it was our host. All the other guests appeared older than myself, though a group near Bruce Wayne consisting of four...

Chapter Nine-

After the close call in the airport involving the death of the pilot of the jet, two bodyguards, and another shot through Barbara's arm, Batman had stepped up security. Artemis was in the cockpit of the plane Samuel Grant was flying.

She crossed her arms over her chest, self-conscious of how she looked slouched down next to the male pilot.

Everything was peaceful until the Ural Mountains. The plane shook. Artemis ignored it, figuring it was turbulence. That and she didn't want to open her eyes. She hated flying if she wasn't the pilot. The plane shook again and she opened one eye, glancing at the pilot.

He was shaking the controls, diving straight toward the ground.

Artemis jerked up, slamming him into the wall and tilting the plane upwards.

"Dlya matushki-Rossii!" he yelled, pulling out a pistol.

Artemis slapped it out of his hand and punched him in the face. He slumped to the ground unconscious. Artemis turned and grabbed the controls, turning the plane towards the ground.
