Kataang or Zutara, we’re all here because we like one or another. I myself, am on the Kataang side. So I decided to share why in one neat little article. Some parts are taken from my other article.
Why I Like Kataang
First and foremost, I like goofy, light hearted romance more than I do a serious and mature one. I like things that will make me laugh, something that isn’t full of angst and melancholy. Aang and Katara have more of a cute and fun relationship. Don’t get me wrong Kataang has it’s mature moments; such as the moments mentioned in the...
So after a long while I decided I'd make an article discussing my general take on a few of the most common reasons users say they hate Kataang. Before getting into any of that I'm not trying to get anyone to change their opinion nor am I trying to stir anything up. But feel free to debate and give your own opinions.
So the first thing I see a lot is;
Aang is way too old for Katara.
I personally believe that Aang is only 12; he is physically and mentally so. This would make him only 2 years younger than Katara. Whereas Zuko is about 17 making him 3 years...
Since a certain somebody saw fit to post a mocking definition of Kataang, I'll even the score by posting one of Zutara
From The Urban Dictionary
A fanon ship from Avatar: The Last Airbender that ships together Zuko and Katara, who never showed any romantic interest in each other. Despite the fact that it's been proven as crack and never became canon, many continue to rabidly ship it, under the delusion that it "should have happened", and hating the show's creators for not granting their wishes.
i was curious to know why most people i've encountered support kataang,it came to my knowledge from the urban dictionary(linked above)
that kataang is supported by children or pedos(or teens with a shota complex ._.)
zutara is a much more mature love,so it's easy to understand and in my opinion katara and aang had always a mother/son relationship,she taught him things that a mother would,isnt it sick for a mother and son to get together?
A spot (created by me) for MizSweet's book on DeviantArt called Zutara: Dying To Survive. It's a really good book, and so far she is up to 22 chapters. It's long, but it's worth taking the time to read it!
