A Disorganized Rant Concerning Logical Fallacies

Opinion posted 2 days ago
Debate So I recently (and perhaps mistakenly) lost my temper in a thread here on Fanpop. I'd rather not link to it, as it wasn't my finest hour and I perhaps embarrassed myself.

I will say that yes, it was about Obama.

I will also say that no, it wasn't a logical discussion about Obama.

Let me begin by saying that I like Obama-- but I know he isn't perfect. I am open to criticism, and actually complimented (in a comment to my parents) right-wing politicians who held up their counter-health care proposal in silent protest during a speech on the topic. I...

Review posted 17 days ago
Castle
Mal Reynolds makes a cameo appearance in "Castle"
WARNING: This review will contain spoilers.

There is very little about "Vampire Weekend" that was not a carnival roller coaster of fun. But the best part of the episode had to be the nods of appreciation to Joss Whedon. Not only is our lovable Rick Castle dressed as the notorious Mal Reynolds of Whedon's Firefly, but there are even more references to Fillion's old friend in this delightful season two episode of Castle.

In the opening scene, Alexis teases Castle about his costume. When he tells her he is a "space cowboy," she insists that "there...

Fanpop Human Rights Awareness Month 2009 - Announcement and Planning

Article posted 2 months ago
Human Rights
Hello, fellow human rights enthusiasts! We're three months away from the winter solstice, which has long since been a time for loving, giving, and charity in several religions the world over. That's right, I'm talking about December! The month of Christmas, Hanukkah, Bodhi Day, Al Hijra, Kwanzaa, Zarathosht Diso, Ashura-- You know!
