It's fundamentalism that's truly destructive-- regardless of the religion.

13 hours ago: I just wanted to point out your Glee comment-- "Someone's life would suck without someone else"-- also echos a comment of a Dexter character in the finale. Since your brain is blown by the ending, perhaps you forgot, but I thought that was a really sweet scene, too.

And what of those young children who had daddy and daddy or mommy and mommy together since they day they were born? There are several children with gay parents, whose friends don't understand it. There are also several children's stories who can explain these different family structures very well, and it has shown to reduce teasing in the schools in which it's been implemented.

1 day ago: I had a feeling Dexter would be a suspect, but Deb would fight tooth and nail to prove his innocence... Deb would fight to prove Dexter's innocence if he was accused of being the Bay Harbor Butcher (which he was), so she'll stand by him. I think that will help him, in a weird Dexter way, to deal with everything that's happening.

I don't think they'll jump that far. Colleton said maybe six months, which is generally their usual season skip-ahead anyway.

I did want to say a certain someone, in light of recent events, because I do love that character, but I chose Vince because, well, I've always loved Vince the most. :o)

2 days ago: I agree with Dragonclaws that it was great storytelling, and it made sense (I sort of had a feeling he'd find her dead after he listened to the voice mail). But that didn't make me feel any less sad. No more Julie Benz on Dexter? THAT's the real tragedy. Also, I couldn't stop thinking about Cody and Astor... wow, Dex as a single father. He was barely making it as Step Dad.

2 days ago: I haven't decided yet. It was great storytelling, and they can definitely do a lot with it, but I love Julie Benz and her character so much, I'm really going to miss her.

Still, if she had to go, that's the way to do it.
