over a year ago:
"I'm going on a quest... with my BROTHER?!" I was so frusterated that smoke was billowing from my ears. Nearby, Chiron's water bottle exploded. "Ehem..." he looked at me as if I were able to fix it. "Yes, apparently your father wants you and Percy to go and find this.. this giant pearl in the sea." A giant pearl. Under the sea. I thought to myself. That's probably the stupidest, most humiliating quest- ever. And THAT'S when the new girl came in. "Chiron!!!" she put her hands on her knees, panting as if she'd been running for a while. "What is it, Elaine?" So that was her name. "I... I didn't mean to!" she looked paniky. "To do what?!" Chiron asked. "Come and see!" Elaine ran off-and boy could she run fast. She was out of sight before we got off the porch. When we caught up to her she was by the pond where the niads lived-exept the niads weren't in it. Neither was the water. "What did you do?!!!" I stared at her, wondering who her parent was. "Did you do that?" I asked her. "I was feeding the fish, and then the niads got mad at me, and, and, and they called me a dirty halfblood, then I felt this tug in my stomach, and then it just... happened!" "She had tears in her eyes. "Am I in trouble?" she waited for an answer-but we were too busy staring at the silvery-blue trident that had just appeared over her head. "Wha, what?" she looked towards the spot we were looking. She gasped. "It is determined." Chiron said in a low voice. "O...M...G!!!" her face lit up like New York on christmas. "You're my BROTHER?!!!" she skipped around like a 5 year old girl. Then she stopped. "So that means..." she smiled ear to ear. "that I'm Percy's sister too!" I looked at the sky and blacked out.
