Anne is also my favorite on Tudors, but like you, I also have an appreciation for all the wives at least in some small part. Perhaps it's the feminist in me but I often think about how things could have been so different for most, if not all, of the wives if this all took place a few hundred years in the future lol. 17 days ago

I was actually just talking to my mom and stepdad about Henry and the wives earlier this evening - we had been talking about how much things have changed in regards to mental health, how it's only been barely over 100 years since the word 'autism' even originated among other conditions that were "first discovered", yet we know that obviously people have been autistic, have been born with down syndrome, etc, for FAR, FAR LONGER than just 110 years! That lead to talking about how women who were burned as witches were most likely either women with some form of mental illness, a lesbian, or just didn't believe in the "right" religion, because that's what was done many years ago - if a woman did something "wrong" or "strange", she must be a witch. *insert mega eye rolling here* 17 days ago

And my stepdad made a smartass comment saying men were burned at the stake as well as being beheaded and hung etc. And that's how we got on the topic of the Tudors, because I randomly yelled, "Anne Boleyn was falsely accused! She never deserved to be beheaded damn it!!" LMAO In this house we stan Anne ♥ 17 days ago

I understand about Mary - historically speaking, I dislike the real woman... but Sarah Bolger just did such a wonderful job portraying her and I found it impossible to dislike her! {Her and Colin were super cute as well♥} Rana and I have talked about the shipping aspect as well and basically what I think is - it's just not possible to REALLY ship any of the wives with Henry, he was a terrible bastard of a man and I wouldn't wish him on my worst enemy! However, JRM and Natalie had such fierce chemistry, they really made Henry/Anne feel so passionate and dangerous! In terms of which relationship was healthiest? Probably Henry & Jane I guess? 17 days ago
