Twilight: Literature's Darkest Hour

Opinion posted 5 months ago
Critical Analysis of Twilight
So I was originally going to publish this article in the Books to Read spot, but then found this place, and I think it fits in here much better :) Anywho, this is an opinion article I originally wrote for my school newspaper. Yes, it's a bit of a rant, but I don't mean to be offensive, so please don't take it that way. Enjoy :)

Opinion posted 1 year ago
The Office
Rumours have been swirling in the medical world of a new and extremely catching disease: Officeonitis. Cases are popping up around the globe, faster than would be believed possible. Scientists are working frantically for a cure, but so far, none has been found, and numbers of those willing to try are dwindling as more and more succomb to this sickness.

So it should be hilarious, right? Not so. It was actually painfully unfunny. I didn't hear the adults laugh at all, and the kids only laughed when the Mayor of Whoville got stapled in the forehead (which, by the way, is a great thing to teach kids. Throw staplers and...

The Reasons for the Success of Early Christianity

Opinion posted 1 year ago
Christianity I'm taking a history course this year, and I was supposed to write an essay on the reasons for success of Christianity. Enjoy!

Today, Christianity is one of the most wide-spread religions of the world. But its history is filled with bloodshed and violence; early Christians had to endure horrific punishments for their faith. There are many stories of martyrs being stoned to death; of Christians’ bodies being used as torches to light Roman feasts; of people being crucified, sometimes upside-down, simply because they refused to renounce Jesus Christ as their saviour. In the midst...
