It's been a while, well, it's not, but to other people it might seem like it. I've not died, I've not gone on extended vacation, Joe hasn't murdered me and left me in a basement until I've gone off (well... that's true except for the being in a basement). Admitedly I haven't posted nearly as much as I did around half a year ago, I sign in from time to time, leave a couple of comments and wander on my merry way again.
It wasn't that Fanpop got bad, it was just my own need for some time away, at the time Fanpop was going through what I like to see as its 'early teenage' stage, it...

I've spent the last fortnight or so getting a little peeved with certain things on Fanpop, they're mostly the tiny things, but if I don't mentioned them, I'm going to outburst on some poor person who doesn't deserve it, so instead, I'm giving a bit of global Fanpop advice, you ready? Here we go...

So last night, August the 2nd/3rd, depending on where you were, I witnessed a phenomenon I have not seen on the internet for quite some time, I've seen glimmers of it, hints and comments, but I've not had it so blatantly thrust in my face until last night. I am, of course, talking about unity. No, not unity against a 'common enemy' or a 'troll' as many people on the internet assume is unity, but genuine "I can just click something to make someone feel a little better" kind of unity.

Moogly Boogly Boo!

Back in 1997, it was New Years Eve, and as with every NYE, me and my cousins and friends were sent upstairs away from the drunken parents and ended up playing video games. This year was special, I had just got my PS1 for Christmas and had been playing it for ages, my parents loved the silence.
This New Years was a unique experience for me, you see, this NY, my cousin Paul had brought around what HE had got for Christmas. Namely, Final Fantasy VII.
Now I don't know if you've ever had a religious experience, but I'd say this is as close as I could have come at the time...
