3 months ago: Technically, they're religion tells them they do. According their theology, their god is the One True God TM, and all other religions and gods are false. Aaaand anyone who practices those religions and worships those gods are going to Hell. Proselytism is also a huge thing in Christianity.

I think another big part of it is the Us vs Them mentality. Christianity is the majority religion, which means all other religions are the minority. Pagans (and other religions) are the "them". We're the outsiders, we're different, and that's a problem. You combine that with their theology and voila!, you have lots of Christians that feel the need to heckle different faiths.

3 months ago: I have to admit, that was a pretty conniving thing for Snow to do. I'm not sure how I feel about. I feel like, if they were going to have Snow go dark, they should have just jumped in and had her shove Cora's heart back in, instead of (yet again) being indirectly involved.

4 months ago: Not all Wiccans worship Satan. (Not all witches or Pagans do either, for that matter.) And it's not a bad thing if they do.

If you really want to get started in Wiccan, find a coven if you can. Ask around at your local Metaphysical/Pagan/Witchcraft shops.. Or Pagan Pride Days. Although be warned: some covens have a "18+" rule.

Witchvox is also pretty up-to-date about covens and gatherings that are going on locally.

4 months ago: Here's some background, if it helps:
I was baptized when I was a baby, made Communion in second grade (under threat of not going on to 3rd grade). About a month ago, my mother, father, and I were chatting about my wedding. I said I was going to have a Pagan wedding, since I am Pagan. My mother and father were instantly up in arms, saying that I was going to have a Christian wedding, since I was a Christian.

I politely informed them (again, but that's completely beside the point) that, no, I was not, and it didn't make sense for me to have a Christian wedding. My mother said "yes, you are. You were baptized. You're a Christian."

It made me curious if other Catholic/Christians felt the same way.

Basically: If someone was baptized, made Holy Communion, and Confirmation, will they always be considered Catholic?

8 months ago: A few days ago, I stumbled across a rant on Tumblr by an initiated Wiccan, who said that the most common uses the words Blessed Be, Merry Meet, and Merry Part were wrongly used. (I'll post the link to the rant in the comments). According to them, those words have a very specific context to be used, and using them out of that context was both appropriation and

"the equivalent of using ritual garb on the street that
belongs to a specific religious tradition, just for sh*ts and gigs. It’s rude and insulting to the tradition."

So what are some thoughts on this?
