Devil May Cry 4 review

Review posted 16 days ago
Video Games
A series which started of when Resident Evil veered off toward supernatural, Devil May Cry 4 has a slight twist: SLIGHT GAMEPLAY SPOILER you play one character for half the game, then switch. SPOILER ENDED

I’ve never played a Devil May Cry game before, but seeing as Capcom did such a brilliant job on Resident Evil 4, I decided to give the DMC4 demo a go, and I found myself playing those same two levels more than any other game I downloaded from Xbox Live. I don’t regret buying the full game AT ALL.

Post-Xbox Live opinions on the 360. And thoughts on Next-Gen consoles on the whole.

This is a sequel-article to one of my recent articles which was a giant rant about the apparent crappiness of the 360. I think it's fair to say I made it out to be the greatest rip-off on the face of the Earth. EVERYTHING is different once you have got your Gold Membership, there's so much new stuff to download and re-theme your screen. That is, once you've got past the torturous set-up of the internet connection and membership.

My horrible journey started with trailing a giant ethernet cable across my living room (from PC to 360) and digging a nail into the wall above the door...

The logo for Mirror's Edge (late 2008)
Sonic Unleashed
Sonic Team clearly stole this from The Hulk. I predict this to be like any other 3D Sonic game: boring, fiddly and a crap story with useless jargon about chaos emeralds and other pseudo-scientific gibberish. The only way for the Sonic series to be salvaged is if they take the story back to Mobius.

Mirror’s Edge
Looks fantastic and original. A first-person free-running game with hyper-sterile graphics and you don’t actually have to kill people to complete your objective.

My suggestions for a sequel to Brawl

Opinion posted 1 month ago
Super Smash Bros. Brawl Kirby should be able to swallow items as well as opponents and have the abilities from the Kirby games (Bomb Kirby, Fire Kirby, Spiky Kirby etc.).

Some of Kirby’s alternate looks should be:
-Waddle-Dee
-Meta Knight colour

Meta Knight should have stronger smash moves

King Dedede and Meta Knight should be a LOT more different from Kirby and Bowser

Once a certain amount of the game has been completed, Kirby should be able to start a Vs match with a hat. The hat Kirby wears should be choosable before the match starts.

First impressions of the 360 upon buying it

Opinion posted 1 month ago
Video Games As I have mentioned quite a lot recently, I have become tired with the Wii’s lack of hardcore games (or decent games, for that matter); so I decided to buy a 360.

The first thing I thought upon buying the console was “Freakin’ heck, this is ridiculously expensive”. I bought an Xbox 360 Elite with two pre-owned games (Halo 3 and Rainbow Six Vegas 2) and one new game (Battlefield: Bad Company) with two controllers, one of which was pre-owned. The whole lot amounted to over £400, which is about $800. On top of this, I have to pay to play online. Sure, it’s only £40...
