Another article told from Garrett's point of view. This one's short and unnecessary, but it shows how, even from Bella's point of view, Garrett has become protective of Kate.
I saw them. They were coming with speed. The Volturi. The black cloaks in the middle, getting greyer as the line went on. The formation, I had to say was intimidating. It wasn’t nice to admit. But, I guess, so was ours. With the witnesses that were also willing to fight with the Cullens in the centre, and those who would just watch towards the outside. Not to mention the wolves lined up behind us, and the...

This is the bit in Breaking Dawn when Garrett asks Kate if her power can really send a vampire flat on its back. In the book, its told from Bella's point of view, so here it is told from Garrett's.
Everyone around me relaxed as Zafrina stopped her illusions for them. But I couldn’t care less about Zafrina’s illusions. I remembered on one of my first days here – I had been told how far Kate’s power went. How powerful it was. Sure, she could shock people. But could she really knock them down with a single touch? Was she really that close to Jane?

Mark's P.O.V.
We had all noticed the change in Jack - at least, I had. How he made less sick comments. How he respected my relationship with Anna's twin April when he always found it creepy and told me to end it. How he was doing better in school; grades and behavior wise. How he hadn't broken up with a girl for three weeks - a new record, beating his old by about two weeks. All since he had found Erin.
He had lost his sick sense of humour and gained one that was actually funny. He had started to, not only accept, but support my bring with April. He hadn't had...

Erin's P.O.V.
He was just staring. Right at me. I looked over my right shoulder; there was no one there. Over my left?...Nothing. I looked back at him.
He was kind of handsome. Shaggy blonde hair hung over his eyes which, from what I could see, looked blue. He had neat features that looked more like a girl's, yet he didn't have a feminine face. He didn't smile - instead, his mouth was just parted as if not believing what he was seeing. He clenched and unclenched his fists.

Jack's P.O.V.
"I love you."
The words took me off guard. I had known Anna had always liked me way too much for my liking. But love? I would never be there. Not with her; not with anyone. That's who I am.
"Love?" I wanted to make sure I'd heard her right.
"Yes."
"Well..." I didn't know how to respond. I had never been told that before. I had never allowed it to go that far. Definitely not far enough for me to fall in love. For that would never happen. "Are you sure?" Once again, I wanted to check.
