A Call to Arms

Opinion posted 29 days ago
Harry Potter I knew it was coming, this day. This day where the pilfered garbage known to much of the world as the Twilight saga would beat out all the other franchises, including Batman, Lord of the Rings, and, of course, our fandom of Harry Potter. According to a recently published Yahoo article, New Moon is accounting for 94% of Fandango and Movieticket.com's ticket sales as of now. This is highly disturbing, showing that humanity cannot even recognize good literature and film even when its presented to them on a silver platter, these of course being Harry Potter, the Dark Knight, and The Lord of the...

"Goin' Back To Hogwarts" Lyrics

Guide posted 4 months ago
StarKidPotter Lyrics by Darren Criss

HARRY:
Underneath these stairs
I hear the sneers and feel glares of
My cousin, my uncle and my aunt.

Can't believe how cruel they are
And it stings my lighting scar
To know that they'll never ever give me what I want.

I know I don't deserve these
Stupid rules made by the Dursleys
Here on Privet drive.

Can't take all of these muggles,
But despite all of my struggles,
I'm still alive.

What is Canon in the Half Blood Prince Film So Far...

Guide posted 9 months ago
Harry Potter
In the book, it looks like they were closer to the cave.
If you are like the millions of other Harry Potter fans out there, you have been keeping up with every little bit of Half Blood Prince film information that has leaked out so far. After reviewing the five trailers (including the Japan one) and first look that have come out (not including ABC's five, one minute long previews), fans now have a general idea of what will be in the film from the book, and what is changed/won't be in the film. Thus what follows is what I have gathered to be the scenes included in the film from the books, and what we will see having been changed from book to film...

Songs for Romione

List posted 10 months ago
Romione
Whenever I listen to the radio, I am always connecting songs back to Harry Potter in some way or another. My favorite ones that I connect though are the ones that remind me of Romione. This is because it gives me such a great feeling because honestly, their love is pretty much the best. Okay okay Jim and Pam from The Office are pretty darn close too! Anyways, I felt like sharing some of the songs that remind me of Romione and why, so here goes!

"Light On" by David Cook: This song reminds me of the Deathly Hallows after Ron leaves Hermione and Harry, and he has to find them...

A Twilight Hater's Review of the Film

Review posted 1 year ago
Twilight Series
Robert Pattinson sparkled as vampire Edward Cullen, whereas Kristen Stewart fell flat with her stale, forgettable performance as Bella.
I have been adamant about my dislike for Twilight ever since I finished reading the book a few years ago. Originally, I had picked it up finding the cover to be very interesting, but after reading it I felt utterly deceived for I found the book to be very dull and lifeless. Today though, I went to see the much anticipated film and found myself second guessing why my dislike for the series was so strong. This film has made me decide to reread the novel and give it a second chance. So without further ado, I present to you my non-fangirly, serious review of the Twilight film.
