the basic plot is he plays the great great uncle (adam) of 2 kids he's always been described as the black sheep who abandoned his family and one nite the kids travel back in time and meet him

anyways for anyone who's seen this what happened to otto??? the kids succeeded in saving his name but did they save his life??? because in the end the niece has the gold he promised to bring back to her in her pocket???
