This is from one flight I got to experience today and what the person next to me did.

When flying please remember to not do these things so everyone can have a nice trip ^_^

Clear your throat
If you have something wrong with your throat where you have to clear it every 3-5 seconds, get some medicine for it, everyone around you will appreciate it.

Only take up YOUR seat
Though you may have a skinnier person next to you, that does not mean you should take up half of their seat, they paid for the full seat and would appreciate having all of it and not moving to the corner.

Leave your shoes on
Now I know some may not like this for a long flight, but a short flight just leave them on. You may not be able to smell the stench of your feet but others may and would appreciate being able to continue breathing out of their noses.

Don't pick at skin
You may have some dead skin on your fingers, arms, etc but on the aeroplane in such a small space you shouldn't pick at it and just drop the scraps on the floor, it's creepy.

Sleep upwards or don't sleep at all
Turning to face a stranger while you sleep may scare some people. Try and sleep while looking up or just don't at all. With short flights you don't need to sleep that badly.

Say no to strong cologne
You may think it smells great but the fact is...others are choking on it. Some deodorant would do and just put the cologne on when you get to the airport, no one has to stop breathing and you still won't smell.

Please follow these things and the people around you will not try and hunt you down and kill you because of it. I am saddened to say this all seriously happened on a plane trip today that lasted 1 hour and 15 minutes (something like that) and it was a plane at 10am...not like 6am or anything.

Me, too. By now, I bring the socks (I call them "little booties" though) with me, because some international airlines don't provide them. Actually, come to think of it, most of the carriers I've used in the last ten years no longer provide them. I also put my laptop bag on top of my empty shoes, so that the fumes, if any, don't pervade the cabin from that source, either.

As for sleeping, use the mask that the airline provides (if it does), or bring one (if not). That way, no matter how you may twist to get comfortable, the impression that you are facing someone is diminished. It also helps you get to sleep when other passengers are on a different clock and insist on staying awake through the middle of the night.
