London, June 23 (IANS) Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie is eyeing a career change. She is reportedly planning to swap her life as a movie star for politics.
The 'Tomb Raider' star is a goodwill ambassador for the UN and spends much of her time championing the rights of refugees and dedicating herself to philanthropic activities.
She is now reportedly planning to quit acting so she can concentrate full time on her political ambitions, reports the Daily Express.
'(She) has admitted she's getting bored with Hollywood. She said she's now got her sights set on Washington. She is passionate about people's rights, war and justice and thinks she can get more hands-on and make even more of a difference by getting into politics,' said a source.
'She admires (US President Barack) Obama and thinks she could make a big difference if she were in his position. I would place a huge wager on her becoming the first female president in the next 20 years. She's very determined,' the source added.

Thesun.co.uk reports that the next movie will be a prequel to earlier film and focus on the character Lara Croft's younger years.
'Angie was intent on reprising her role. She feels it's something she helped define and feels robbed that it looks likely to be handed to someone who she considers less capable than her,' said a source.
The first two films were very successful earning more than 262 million pounds.
The new movie's executive producer Dan Lin said: 'It is an origin story so it is a younger Lara Croft. It will have character-driven action.'
Jolie doesn't think the age difference is a good enough reason and doesn't think much of Fox's acting either.
'Angie (Angelina Jolie) isn't a fan of the 'Transformers' films and believes Megan won't do the Lara Croft character justice. She's also annoyed because she thinks Megan copies everything from her, from her tattoos to her style,' said a...
