THE FIRST ANNE OF GREEN GABLES ONLINE SHORT FILM FESTIVAL

Toronto, ON (August 13, 2008) – Now is your chance to show the producers of Anne of Green Gables and Road to Avonlea your filmmaking talent! For the first time ever, Sullivan Entertainment is hosting an Anne of Green Gables Online Short Film Festival.
Be a part of movie history as the winner of the film festival will have their short film become an extra feature on Kevin Sullivan’s latest Anne of Green Gables DVD release – Anne of Green Gables: A New Beginning. Starring Barbara Hershey (Anne Shirley), Shirley MacLaine (Amelia Thomas), Rachel Blanchard (Louisa Thomas) and introducing Hannah Endicott-Douglas (Young Anne Shirley), the movie follows an older Anne as she rediscovers her past before she arrived at Green Gables.
Contestants can submit a 2 to 5 minute short film or video creation (maximum size of 100MB) inspired by anything related to Anne of Green Gables. The movie can be any of the following:
- Re-shoot a scene from the books
- Create your own story for Anne
- Create a spoof of Anne of Green Gables
- Put Anne into a Comedy, Musical or even Sci-Fi movie
- Create an original movie that is inspired by the themes from the Anne novels
In addition to having your film distributed on DVD with one of the most anticipated movies of the year, the winner will also receive a large prize pack, courtesy of Sullivan Entertainment. 2nd and 3rd place winners also receive prize packs.
