YES with all my heart the sequal could be either about how they turned out and then "August" gets lost or kidnapped!!! or it could be about"August's" kids!! I LOVE THIS MOVIE!!! i saw it 3 times in 1 weekend AHHH!!!!
My idea would be a TV series. Lila and Louis and his band, could establish a "Music School" on tour with Louis, Lila, Evan/August and the street musicians and Louis's band could tour with Mr Jeffries and his "wife" a teacher,and the Wizard could be on probation in Mr. Jeffries custody. Wizard is gifted, but continually problematic. The children talented but with plenty of baggage. There would be strongly drawn characters, conflict and problems to be solved, love and laughter and the redeeming magic of music. Along the way from time to time they could find homes/families for some of the children, and could acquire new street kids. I could see it drawing an audience and advertising sponsors, Network? USA they commit to strong characters, and stick with their series, rather than having a one season mentality. It could be the school or group home tours in the summer, and thus it is a seasonal show, which USA does well. The potential for deep stories is there in exploring the stories of the individual children on the way to making things better. you just cant end the movie like that and not make a sequel to it,it just doesnt make no sense,ive seen this movie about 5 times already and ill watch it many more times,jonathon myers is a awsome musician,did a wonderful job in this movie.
