Bangel vs Spuffy!

Its kind of a big debate really isn't it. Like for instense, who did Buffy love the most and so on, but my opinion really is that she loved them both the same, but just in different ways. If you haven't loved more than 2 guys before then i don't think you'll understand where i'm coming from.

Buffy and Angel were more of the love and feeling side whereas Spike and Buffy was more physical, aswell as the love and feeling. I'm a big spuffy fan, so this article might be a bit biased on the Spike and Buffy love.

Buffy and Angel
Buffy and Angels relationship was really touching for me. It showed the side of, that you really love someone but you can't have them kind of way. She couldn't have a touchy feely relationship (if you understand what i mean). Because if Angel had one moment of true happiness he would loose his soul which ment that he would become bad. But this situtaion really didn't bother Buffy much, she loved Angel so much and you could tell that by the way she looked at him and helped him when he was ill. (Graduation day parts 1+2) She let him drink her blood to get him...

These demons were in love . . . with ripping out your heart!
***WARNING! The below article contains references to episodes from Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel. If you haven't seen all of both series, you might be reading SPOILERS. Well, hopefully you've seen all the Buffy episodes, but if you don't watch Angel, there's a minor episode reference near the end that you might not want to read. Just letting you know.***

One point of constant debate among Spuffy and Bangel shippers alike is whether Spike was in love with Buffy before he got in soul (and if this was the reason he got his soul in the first place). Did Spike truly love Buffy? Did Spike even have the ability to love without a soul?

This in my mind leads to a larger question that pertains to the whole Buffyverse: Can demons love?

In the series, the soulless demons that have important relationships are Angelus, Spike, Darla, Drusilla, and Harmony. Spike has the advantage of having a complex character, and also being the demon with the greatest number of serious relationships in the series. That is why I choose Spike to illustrate that demons can love.

Buffy and Angel
Ok so I’m finally writing my thoughts up on this matter!

I am focusing my attention on Bangel as it is the couple i do know best, so please any Spuffiers out there write one explaining the Spuffy era.

As I am not the best with grammar I have decided to keep it simple by splitting it up into short sections, also so I don’t start my famous rambling and go on and on one point for years

Buffy and Angel first meet in the first ever Buffy The Vampire Slayer Episode (Welcome To The Hellmouth). She does not realise he is a vampire until a mid season in the episode ‘Angel’, where they share a kiss and it forces him to change to his vampire face. After finding out parts of his past they continue to grow close and a passionate relationship builds.
They start dating in early season 2.

Angel: My people -- before I was changed -- they exchanged this as a sign of devotion. It's a claddagh ring. The hands represent friendship, the crown represents loyalty, and the heart...well, you know. Wear it with the heart pointing towards you. It means you belong to somebody.
