I know there are some people who didn't like how the show ended but I thought it brought it full circle and had an interesting comment about technology.
I wish the show had ended after the ships flew off into the sun..I thought how the rest of it went on was lame/bad..Such a great first hour and a half though..but the Hera thing ended up feeling overrated to me
i was pleased, though i felt like there were some things missing that really shouldnt have been, i.e. an Adama/Tigh goodbye on earth. Supposedly there is 20 some odd minutes of cut footage that will be on the dvd release so im hoping its there. I also could have done without the last 2 minutes, first of all Ron Moore sticking himself in is about as lame a move as you can make. And once we knew it was our earth, did we really need to jump to the future to see it? Can't people fill in the gap themselves? I couldnt help but think those last 2 minutes were for the stupid people that couldn't put it together on their own. Kind of redundant. Oh well, ill just hit "stop" after Hera looks up into the sky, once i get it on dvd.
No it did end well for me.....I hated the last 2 or 3 minutes-what the hell was that???...I mean the first hour was so great-and then it went a completely different direction....Starbuck freaking dies and or "Ascends" at which I was a mess....it seemed like they left it to dry right when the second hour started to get good....I mean many parts of it were awesome...but others were so lacking---I mean, I did not want BSG to end with Guyus&Caprica/future versions/angels--I dont even now what the were...those were not the characters I wanted to be left with....I mean seriously?..even though they are a good-ish characters--just not how I wanted to see it end.....yes-It did go full circle at times but for me...it left me with more questions and I really did not want to cry as much I ended up crying...*sighs*....
Yeah, yeah, yeah the 'bot montage made me cringe a little bit but the every other aspect of the ending blew me away. I'm okay with accepting that Starbuck was a ghost or an angle or something. From the first episode head six was telling us that all this is the work of god so it's not like they just sprung it on us.
