Well, I'm not around long enough to have seen the original, but I'd probably still think Kara kicks ass.

Don't really know the original at all, but I will say Kara's getting on my frackn' nerves, she's got an amazing Man/Cylon that loves her, frackn adores the ground she walks on and she treats him like crap...Anders can come bunk with me any time ^.~

Well I am a man and I can guarantee I do not want to be with her. She has a strong personality though I suppose.

I am sooo sick of this "Starbuck sucks because she's a woman trying to be a man." Men who say that have serious problems with their masculinity, and need to get over it. It's six years now, and that point is so old and meaningless. Love Dirk as Starbuck.. grew up with him.. but this is a different character which really shouldn't even be compared. Kara is complex, and fraked up, and a lot more human than the original. That's the only reason I picked her.
