In the midst of the fight against cellulite, skin care and beauty experts have not yet come up with a miracle treatment which completely removes these fat cells.

Cellulites, or 'orange peel' skin, appear with a dimpled look on the affected area. They emerge on the body when fat cells are stored directly beneath the skin and they form uneven bundles which press against the superficial skin layer.

They are often found on the thighs, buttocks and sometimes appear on the breasts.

Women are more susceptible to cellulite than men. Overweight people are not more prone to cellulite as compared to those who are lean or underweight.

However, studies do show that for women who regularly exercise, there is a lesser chance for them to have cellulite than those who are less active physically.

Although there is no proven treatment that is 100% effective in eliminating cellulite, regular exercise does help.

The more that you exercise, the smoother your muscular structure becomes, thereby decreasing cellulite risk.

Also, a proper diet, sufficient water intake and avoidance of stress, smoking and alcohol can play major roles in decreasing the chances of having cellulites.

“Treatment of Cellulites”

There are several treatments available for those who want to have their cellulites removed or reduced. Laser, liposuction, massage, muscle stimulation, retinoid, alpha-hydroxy acids and body brushing are just some of the methods known to reduce and eliminate cellulites.

These treatments make the skin firmer to rejuvenate and revitalize the muscles - which all aid in the reduction of cellulites on the affected area.

Laser dermabrasion, body brushing and massages stimulate blood circulation and help in flushing out toxins.

Toxins trapped beneath the superficial skin layers are known to be one of the main cause of cellulite emergence.

“Liposuction in Cellulite Reduction?”

Although there are a lot of products which help reduce - if not eliminate - cellulites, they have not yet made their niche in the cosmetics industry.

Liposuction still offers a more permanent and effective solution when it comes to reducing cellulites.

For years now, plastic and cosmetic surgeons all over the world have performed liposuction on a lot of patients to instantly suck off the fat on any part of the body.

This medical procedure is done to remove the fat on the abdomen, thighs, hips, arms, buttocks – almost on any part of the body which needs to be “trimmed.”

Liposuction is often applied to those hard-to-reach areas of the body where regular dieting and exercise will not work.

Here, the fat cells and fat deposits which are trapped directly beneath the first and second layer of the skin are surgically removed.

A patient is anesthetized and a pump is used to penetrate the skin and suction out the fat.

Unlike regular cosmetic surgeries which are all done in the name of beauty, liposuction is not as “bloody” because there is only the smallest of incisions while the fat is being sucked out of the body.

For each liposuction “session”, there is a maximum amount of fat that can be suctioned because there are negative effects of removing too much fat.

Liposuction may not permanently remove cellulites, but it does make those unsightly bumps on the skin less noticeable and more pleasing to the eye.

As compared to over-the-counter creams and lotions applied to the affected area, liposuction proves to be a more permanent cure in eliminating the ghastly “orange peel” or “cottage cheese” look that you get when you have cellulites. Learn more about how to reduce cellulite and cellulite treatment.
