Does the actress who plays Bellatrix look anything like you pictured her to look?

But not completely. I always imagined Bellatrix to be less "mad-looking" and more sane.
I still think Helena Bonham Carter was the best person to play her though! :)

Well, sort of. She was more insane in the later books, not so much the 5th. I also kind of pictured her to be like Sirius was: someone who would have been good-looking had they not just spent all their time in Azkaban. But, to me, in the movie, it just looked like she had never been pretty.
Otherwise, I thought it was pretty good.

she didnt look like what i imagined. I imagined her looking like the vampire bride Verona, from van helsing lol. But Helena Bonham Carter is AWESOME! She is my favorite actress because she is simply down to earth, has unique style and isnt full of herself, like most are. I love the way she dresses. Ive never been to keen in the whole "magazine trend" thing.

Helena Bonham Carter rocks! She was perfect as Bella.

I always pictured her as someone who looks very similar - my vision was more like Monica Bellucci, but when I saw Helena, I knew she's the one. I admire her as an actress and I LIKE that the creators of the movies show these characters like Bellatrix or Sirius as slightly mad. Especially Sirius is more normal and just sexy/funny in the fanon, but the movie portrayal reminded me that he spent 13 years in a prison where you get mad. I love Gary Oldman and Helena for showing that.

no way! she is actually really pretty. she looks fantastic in OOTP and Sweeney Todd. pretty similar actually, like the dresses, attitude and looks. xox

Yes although i expected her to be prettier.In the books she was mentioned as very beautiful(defore she got into Azkaban).But Helena is perfect.Now I can't see anyone else as Bella.

when i red the book i expected her to be ugly lol but she looks so much better in the movies and i love it i feel that it fits better shes the perfect person to play the part

When i read the books i didnt picture Helena as Bellatrix to be honest but now after the films HELENA is Bellatrix! lol! she does a marvelous job potraying the absolute evilness and Bellatrix-vibe with bang on accuracy its awesome! lol!

I didn't even know who Helena was until i read the credits of OOTP and then i wuz a fan of her since then but strangely i pictured Helena as bella but never knew it was Helena!

I read the books after the OOTP movie came out, so Helena was just always my Bellatrix.

ABSOLUTELY! I love Helena Bonham Carter. I think she is a beautiful woman, even when she plays a demented wacko witch who has been in prison for fourteen years. I love her costumes she gets to wear as Bellatrix. I was Bellatrix two years in a row for Hallloween.
